  2. BOOK TICKETS - https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/how-to-encourage-emotional-intelligence-in-children-tickets-64912362624

Do you want your children to develop good communication skills, problem solving abilities and emotional literacy? Do you want them to be resilient? Do you want them to understand and be able to regulate their own emotions and have empathy for others?? Children are sometimes reluctant or unable to talk about things that are bothering them, making it difficult for parents to help. Unexpressed feelings often come out in poor behaviour or sometimes show up in physical symptoms. When children put their feelings into words parents can respond to this more effectively.

This workshop will give you new skills to build real rapport and closeness with your children so that they talk to you more about their lives and feel understood. It demonstrates skills that allow parents to help children to recognise, process and manage their emotions. It also teaches ways to encourage children to be more considerate and thoughtful.

Tickets are ?10 which includes include wine or a soft drink. A limited number of tickets will be available on the door (cash only). There are bursary places available - please email us at [email protected] for more details.

    About the workshop leader

Trevor Henderson is a Public Speaker and former IT Consultant but for years he struggled to understand written instructions. He found that turning course notes and documentation into geometric shapes and images made the information more ordered and meaningful.

Then Trevor discovered something quite remarkable; in a session with one of his public speaking mentees, his unusual diagrams struck a chord. It turned out others could follow the 3 Step Speaker System he had created.

Trevor now coaches people with dyslexia on how public speaking can be their superpower using his 3SSS. He shows how the 3SSS system can be used to craft, recall and deliver speeches and overcome the fear of public speaking.

    DESCRIPTION

We continue our series of art history lectures about major exhibitions in London with Graham Greenfield, who started by studying Architecture before changing to Fine Art. He has worked in a variety of museums, and has lectured at Tate, Courtauld Institute of Art, the V&A, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and on almost every exhibition at the Royal Academy since 1994.

King Charles I amassed one of the most extraordinary art collections of his age, acquiring works by some of the finest artists of the past ? Titian, Mantegna, Holbein, D?rer ? and commissioning leading contemporary artists such as Van Dyck and Rubens. Yet, following the King?s execution in 1649, his collection was sold off and scattered across Europe. While many works were retrieved by Charles II, others now form the core of museums such as the Louvre and the Prado.

Charles I: King and Collector reunites the greatest masterpieces of this magnificent collection for the first time. Celebrating its breadth and grandeur, it includes over 100 works of art, ranging from classical sculptures to Baroque paintings, from exquisite miniatures to monumental tapestries. The exhibition demonstrates the radical impact they had at the time, and sheds light on how they fostered a vibrant visual culture that was hitherto unknown in England.

Tickets include a glass of wine

Using equipment found in most kitchens you will begin your own sourdough starter, knead your dough, ferment and prove it, bake it and take your bread home!

We have asked Christopher to leave his bakery on Half Moon Lane for a day to share his skills and experiences with you. He began his business from home with the help of his daughter and the patience of his wife, but the best-selling Dulwich Sourdough loaf was created by the team of bakers he trained.

To celebrate the first Sourdough course at Bell House, we are offering a limited number of EARLY BIRD tickets at ?90. These will be available until 5th May, when the full price will be ?120.
