  1. Another recommendation for And Move - truly brilliant.
  2. Another massive recommendation for Pavel and the team at And Move who efficiently masterminded our move from a home we?d been in for over 30 years. They worked incredibly hard over 2 days ? first day packing, second day loading. Throughout they were cheerful, incredibly patient and just lovely to deal with. We used their recommended storage, which was excellent value, and when we were ready, they moved us into our new place in 1 day. 2 van loads of stuff and not a single item damaged. I can?t recommend them highly enough and I would use them again without any hesitation. www.andmove.co.uk 02082864359 07877 721526
  3. A massive recommendation for plasterer Micky Lawless who saved the day when we?d been let down on work to renovate our new home. I was in a bit of a panic and Micky brought things back into perspective. He put me in contact with other trades people and instilled so much confidence in me with his advice and his calm, can-do attitude. Micky?s plastering work has been just outstanding. Real attention to detail and any problems on the way always had a solution. The final finish is perfect and I couldn?t be more pleased ? all at a very reasonable cost. A true professional and such a lovely man. Highly recommended. Micky Lawless 07930 678989
  4. Does everyone realise that GTR are proposing to remove all Thameslink services via West Dulwich? There are just a few days left to respond to the consultation.

As Kiera states, it is indeed Camberwell Old Cemetery, as is this clip:
  6. I've been a patient for 28 years and have always received excellent service. Maybe I've been lucky, but my calls are always answered promptly and I've never had any problem being seen quickly where there's been an urgent need. I've always found the reception staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when on the phone. As for the doctors and nurses, I think they are all excellent. I've recommended the surgery to a number of friends, who have all moved over and been very pleased with the service. Strange how people's experiences can differ so much!
  7. Belated thanks Brian! We had a brilliant day and ended on an amazing high with Hungry Grass!

  9. The answer phone message seems to have stopped and now the phone just rings out. I think it was pretty poor of them not notifying their patients that the refurbishment was going ahead, and then of not keeping them updated as to the situation.
  10. Jessica, why don't you check out borrowmydoggy.com. A friend of mine has recently been very happily teamed up with her new doggy chum for walks and occasional overnights. Both friend and dog seem very happy!
  11. I'm also looking for a dentist. I?ve been a patient at Townley Road for years. When I called today to make an appointment to have a broken crown fixed, I was told that they?re closed for over a month due to refurbishment. There was no notification sent to patients and no alternative arrangements are in place apart from Kings emergency walk-in clinic, which doesn?t deal with broken crowns. I must say, I?m pretty unimpressed. I saw lots of recommendations for Bunmi ? does anyone know if she?s still at East Dulwich Dental Care?
  12. Had Hamish over this week to work on a large silver birch. This is the third time I've used him, and as before, the work was done amazingly well and my garden was left really tidy. He was perfectly happy to do some extra bits of work, which I hadn't originally asked him to do and also cut some of the wood to shape so that I could make a couple of rustic benches. Great service and highly recommended!

The lines outside my house and the two houses either side have definitely been extended. It was possible to park a car either side of my driveway. Now, the lines would just about allow you to fit a motorbike. I think we must be a bit closer to Belvoir than you.
  14. Just read the following on Southwark's website: "Since the council now has the power to enforce, we consider the advisory H-bar to be street clutter and an unnecessary road marking that brings little benefit. Most dropped kerbs are very obvious and we don?t need any additional signage to point them out. We are therefore stopping the installation of H-bar markings and removing them when practicable." Interesting since the H-bar markings on Underhill have just been repainted and made even bigger!
