Hi We're expecting triplets early next year. Anyone on the forum had Triplets, that could offer advise and tips on the new adventure?

Where do you live? Did they catch the thieves? -
Does the amount of Indian restaurants not make you think that Lordship lane is becoming another brick lane.

How can we allow this to happen in today's time

Hi We recently had a problem with mice. We called Collin based on previous recommendations on the forum; he was quick to respond to the call, offered sound advice on how to resolve the issue from happening again and best of all his services are very reasonably priced. I strongly recommend Collin and can definitely vouch for his work. You can reach him on 0794 0751 255

Thanks Tony We're finally back on track again ;-)

if we all put the same effort in our taxes in going towards council housing, my wheel alignment tax would be less of an issue, no?
-
I would agree with you if I thought we were actually getting true value for the amount we're paying for council tax.
-
Hi Is is possible to claim wheel alignment repairs from the council due to pot holes?

Hey Guys I have the information I need on how to insulate my flat, thanks for all your comments. This is where I step out as the topic I started has diverted into a different direction. Happy Holidays

I am grasping the concept as I am a musician, and I don't play music, which they don't like, at home or at awkeward times of the day. it's just common courtesy to respect others

Hi Yes I have, but as the wooden floors are carpeted everywhere except the bedroom and bathroom it's not actually Peeing them off. They too have wooden floors and like to walk with high heels on, which makes a loud noise when they walk, but we compromise. The lease does not stipulate not having wooden floors. However if need be we can add that to the lease with a no smoking clause then we can all be happy.

That is my point, the neighbours don't need to compromise, but in that case neither should I if it didn't suit me. hence my comment. I agree that most the advice has been useful, except for a few comments made by certain individuals, again the reason why I made my point. Either way, thanks to you all for the useful advise provided. I have managed to get a few quotes from joiners and carpenters who will start the work at the begining of the new year.

Maybe I should just rent the flat out to drug addicts who like to play loud musical instruments. My point is that there needs to be a point of comprimise.
-
Hey Jah Lush With that tone I am surprised you have any neighbours
-
No, but the smoke entering the flat does.
-
Hi : TillieTrotter Have you thought of the fact that others could get lung cancer and asthma from smoking. I doubt curry has the same side effects.
-
Hi Cate I have wooden flooring, and have plugged as many holes as I possibly could ;-( The neighbour downstairs is a tennant, but as the landlord has not enfored the no smoking rule, there is little I can do. The landlord does not seem to be be too conerned as he is still getting his rent. Hi Computedshortly We didn't end up doing renovations to the loft, bathroom or the chimney brest; but were lucky enough to catch all the mice ;-); but I will look into the expeller. I think, if I do move, i might have the same problem elsewhere so not sure how much of a good idea this is. But I will consider placingteh property on the market from Jan if the property prices ever go back up again ;-| I'll keep you all posted on progress, and thanks for all your advice

Hi It is cigarette smoke rather than the illegal substance, but it is still an unbearable smell.
-
Hi Cate Seems that it is comming through various places, I think Bob is right, might just be a bad Victorian conversion. I called Southwark council but they rekon they can't do anything about it.

Hi I have a neighbour below me that won't stop smoking whih causes our flat to skink of the unbearable smell. They refuse to smoke oustide, any ideas how to address this issues?
