Sorry Cat, but you dismissing ''there will be no downside'' doesn't magically make it go away. As stupid as you think it was to say that, it was oft repeated and millions believed it. Such quotes were said by the people running the Leave campaign, not some random bloke off the EDF and his so-called ''sensible'' Brexit. No one else was listening to you. Rees-Mogg came up with another gem, that food prices would fall 20% after leaving the EU. I could quote something similar that was promised for the fishing and farming communities but hasn't been delivered. The NHS, and so on. Again, millions of people believed all this. All these promises haven't been delivered and plenty of Leave voters are now recognising that. The Brexit that was promised has failed and there won't be a second chance. It's now just a question of how long it will take before the UK forms closer economic ties with the EU again...
