  1. If you love the Farrow and Ball colours but don't want the chalky finish, which is hard to maintain, you can get a colour match from Dulux. We did this at the B&Q on Old Kent Rd, just took in sample of F&B painted on to card and they matched it, we painted over the F&B with it and you can't tell the difference colour wise but the Dulux is more hard wearing.
  2. Hello and welcome to ED! I've been in the GG Community Choir for about 2 years and I really enjoy it. I would say that our approach is quite different from Note-Orious, we're quite a bit smaller and I would say probably a bit less formal (that is no criticism of Note-orious!) so it really depends what you are looking for and what suits you. At GG we normally encourage people to come along and try a session before they join up so if I were you I would try both out and see which you prefer! No substitute for just pitching up (no pun intended) and trying it out. Good luck and hope to meet you one Tuesday evening.
  3. I am so glad I caught this, having been under the care of many of the docs featured (including the Prof and Leonie Penna, who was fantastic) when we had our identical twins. They developed twin to twin transfusion and I had the laser procedure featured on the programme. Having that op and then waiting for that follow-up scan was the worst 2 weeks of my life. We were among the very lucky ones in that both our girls survived, the programme brought back lots of memories but more than anything reminded me how lucky we are to have our NHS and such a fantastic specialist ante-natal centre virtually on our doorstep!
  4. If people are giving great feedback about GG it is because they are happy with it. Parents and children are very proud of the school's achievements and so they are more than happy to say so when asked!

But of course there is no substitute for having a look round all the schools yourself - children are all so different and people have very different priorities when choosing a school. For example I know that Goodrich is really highly regarded but for me the size of it was a real factor, even though it clearly doesn't cause an issue for all the happy children who go there!

  5. I have a very skinny 6 year old and recently bought some skinny cords from Next - they come in 3 fittings, skinny, regular and plus fit and the skinny ones are great - much less bunching up round the waist (but still adjustable) and much narrower in the leg - also got school trousers, equally as good. The only thing is that I think they only do the variations in the "older girls" range - but that starts at age 3 so you might be ok?
