  1. Should we assume that this offending light has been quelled? Will we hear no more from the OP? Lynne this is a great remark showing pragmatism good humour and sound economics.

Try talking to them. edcam, your reading comprehension skills need improving
  3. Penguin 68 - I pride myself on a broad vocabulary. However I missed 'adumbrate' what a great word, resolved to now use it as often as possible thank you - from Latin umbra, shade. Our Postie informed us that had Sylvester Road been extended under the porch (and had the house on the corner not been sold off, which was the original Post Office, now too late) that there would have been enough room to work and accommodate the volume of mail. Of course we asked him why he hadn't spoken up at the time of the meeting - his response was a shrug, and the opinion that the decision had been taken. There were other politics involved with staffing. Whatever happened to the advent of the Management Consultancy Report before final closure. We take mail and small parcels into the city with us now, Mount Pleasant bound and have the same delivered to work address, although this is not possible with personal cards, bank statements etc of course. Sylvester Road should never have closed, a bad decision exacerbated by lack of forward planning in not providing at least a bridge between Sylvester Road closure and the newly overwhelmed premises in Peckham, just as you describe. 'Post early for Christmas' never rang truer.

As the offending light is on a house directly behind you then of course you will know which house it is - they are small gardens along there, one on one. What is it you want anyone else to do? Is this a searchlight you are describing? They are possibly away after fitting a light as a burglar deterrent and you could be blowing their cover. Blackout blinds are cheap and no one will be climbing in your windows late at night that's for sure.
  5. Thank you beansprout, this is public spirited of you.
  6. Do you have any connection or affiliation with HEALTH MATTERS shop who are knowledgeable and able to recommend remedies? and good range of supplements in a well stocked shop, my panacea is Nature's Plus FIRST DAY, alleviates inflammation/arthritis works a treat, and multivitamins etc. Do you advocate a HOLISTIC approach to good health via food, is that what you are saying, as I am not sure what EVERYDAY FOODS are meant to be. Dearth of FRESH fruit and vegetable stalls in East Dulwich and the health hazard of traffic pollution on Lordship Lane with dog fouling on pavements are conditions which cannot be cured by talk or diet sheets, but I wish you Good Luck with your new venture.
