  1. Are you interested in energywork for wellbeing? Are you keen to meet other people who are 'normal' but also have a broader perspective of energy, well-being and health? Hello, my name is Lorna Clansey and I am an Amatsu practitioner based at Healthmatters on Lordship Lane. I am looking to speak to women or men who would like to know more about connecting to, and working with energy for well-being. Participation involves a 20-30 minute telephone interview with me. As a thank you for your time, each person will receive a free 30-min energy and relaxation session with me, over Zoom. If you know anyone who would be interested in participating, and receiving the complementary session with me, please ask them to contact me on [email protected] Thank you! www.lornaclansey.com
  2. I run a monthly online soul circle for anyone who is interested in spiritual inner work. No experience is necessary and I do all the talking and guiding so there is no need to feel nervous about being asked to speak! Each month has a different theme and there is a mixture of movement, visualisations, meditation and journalling. The October Soul Circle is all about the different chakras in the energy system - what they are, what they symbolise - and then we will work to connect with our own chakras and see where we might be able to support and nurture ourselves. The event is held on Zoom at 8-9.15pm this Thursday but I can also send recordings if the timing doesn't suit. You can find more details at www.lornaclansey.com/soul-circle or message me if you have any questions.
  3. Does anyone have any recommendations for outdoor exercise classes?
  4. We are geting married next year and although we live in East Dulwich, my sister has kindly offered the use of her garden in Essex for the party. We would love to be able to find a slightly unusual 'tent' as opposed to a marquee if possible ie old circus tent, large bell tent etc to accomodate our 60-7- guests. Does anyone know a company they would recommend that wouldn't blow our modest budget!
  5. Hi there, I just wonder if East Dulwich has any health and wellbeing bloggers?
  6. Hi there, I am an Amatsu practitioner based in East Dulwich and I specialise in working to reduce pain and improve movement in clients who usually have tried a few other approaches first. Amatsu is a highly effective Japanese approach to health and wellbeing. I am very successful at working with all types of pain including back pain. If you would like to speak to me please call 07841 918899 or go to my website www.lornaclansey.com for some more information. Best wishes Lorna
  7. Lorna Clansey and Enid Pinder both practice Japanese healing therapies and will be offering taster treatments as part of Dulwich Festival Fair on Sunday 13th May. Enid is a Reiki Master and Lorna is an Amatsu Practitioner. They will be offering 30 minute treatments throughout the day, Enid in her home overlooking Goose Green and Lorna at HEAL Studios on Zenoria Street, as well as being available for questions(and the chance to win a free treatment) on a stall at the fair itself. The taster sessions are ?16.50 each. Amatsu is a physical therapy that utilises Japanese principles of natural body movement to balance and correct the body. It is highly effective for relieving pain and restoring full movement and many clients come to this therapy after more conventional physical therapies have not had a lasting effect. If you are suffering from pain (joint, back, neck, knee etc) or injuries or are would just like to balance your body, come and experience Amatsu. Reiki is a form of healing where the practitioner uses their hands by placing them either directly on the body or just above the body to scan energy flow. Our body?s energy is our life force and it is important to keep it balanced for optimum well-being. Reiki can be used as a preventative treatment as well as targeting specific problem areas, such as areas of pain or stiffness. Your body will take what it needs during a session and you may leaving feeling very relaxed and at peace or full of energy! Both treatments are performed fully clothed. Lorna recently took part in the Taste of Japan Day as part of the Telgraph Hill Festival and all timeslots booked within 2 days of going on sale so although there may be slots available to book on the day, to ensure your preferred time go to: [dulwichfairjapanesetherapies.eventbrite.com] Lorna will be giving Amatsu treatments from 11am-1.30pm and Enid will give Reiki treatments from 1.45pm-4.15pm. Once you have booked your session, please get in touch with Lorna on 07841 918899 or Enid on 07906 443249 to book your time slot.
  8. I am delighted that the snow has meant that I have to work from home! At some point I want to get out in this lovely stuff though and wondered if there is anyone who needs their (friendly) dog taking for a walk if they are worried about slipping/have children off school/any other reason.. Let me know!
  9. yes it's definitely going to be a bakery. They had a stand outside Moxon's on Saturday doing a bit of a 'taster' session and letting people know that they'll be opening soon. I bought a sourdough baguette-type thing which was pretty good, but not quite as nice as the ED Deli bread..
  10. I was wondering if someone from the newly formed EDWI could get in touch with me as I'd love to speak to you about the possibility of doing a short talk for your members. I can't seem to get an individual message to anyone via your blog site, so I thought I'd try this route instead!
  11. I haven't met JN but I did see him on Saturday in the Brockwell Lido with his kids. He swam a bit, but mostly talked v loudly and hung around the cafe. I wanted to say 'We've all seen you, now shut up' but didn't.
  12. Does anyone know if any sort of barter system is at work in the ED area? I read about this a few years ago and there have been some successful groups set up whereby people in the community offer their skills/services in exchange for others. I seem to remember that they created a type of 'currency' so that it didn't always involve direct swaps but people could exchange their crowns (or whatever) for something that had value to them. I have done a little bit of this with friends/colleagues and think it's a lovely way to work. What do people think?
