Bin rummaging / stealing on Lordship Lane
Isolde2018 replied to FlatStanley's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Just in case this is helpful / relevant: I also saw a woman of this description (shopping trolley, fairly well dressed) rummaging through the bins in Nunhead at around 12.30 today (Carden Road I think). Two young men (presumably those who lived in the flat / house she was outside) were taking photos / filming her and asked her to move on. This was in Broad daylight obviously. -

A longshot - but my son left his scooter in Peckham Rye park playground (next to the caf?) on Friday evening. I'm sure it's long gone, but if on the off chance anyone saw it / knows where it is it would make a little boy very happy! It's a metal, two-wheeled stunt scooter, orange and black. I've checked with the park office but they don't have it. Thanks in advance, Alice

Street lighting in Peckham Rye park / common
Isolde2018 replied to Isolde2018's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks everyone. Southwark Council got back to me to say that someone would investigate within five working days. Actually I noticed that some of the lamps were back on last night... so not as dark as it was a week or so ago. So, yes - maybe only three lights that are out. -
Street lighting in Peckham Rye park / common
Isolde2018 posted a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm concerned about the lack of street lighting in Peckham Rye park. Many of the lamps seem to be out of order and there is a stretch along the main path (from the cafe to the Peckham Rye / Nunhead side of the park) that is completely dark. This feels unsafe and dangerous to walk through with small children even at 5/6pm. I have reported this to Southwark Council and to the Parks department. Does anyone know if anything is being done about this? Thank you! -
Does anyone know whether Alleyn's offer swimming lessons for children (who don't attend the school) outside of school hours? My son did an intensive week of swimming lessons there (organised by his own school) and really liked the instructors. Thanks in advance.
