  1. We got our cat from the RSPCA. Just register, then you have a call followed by a home visit and they'll pair you up!
  2. Merchants have access to the card number and expiry date of contactless transactions, whether that is an online system or simply printing off a copy from the machine terminal. The fraud team don't think my card was cloned just that my card number and expire date were taken and tried in a CNP transaction. I think if it was cloned by the machine there would be more attempts at fraud, someone pulling a few merchant receipts from a shop and trying to put through 200 quid manually on a card machine seems to be the most likely. Family stores seems most likely!
  3. Apparently you can still be frauded through contactless. If the payment doesn't show up immediately it means that the card details are/can be held in the shops system until payment has been processed! Whoever has access to the system can see your details.
  4. Luckily the fraud system on my card is good and the transaction was brought to my attention so they got nothing. Interesting to know there are more people We've been trying to find the common thread between the 4 people in my home that have been defrauded the same way. The corner shop on upland x hindmans and barry road shop are in question. I'll check on the co-op cash machine with the others, I know I've used that.
  5. Hello! Our household in SE22 have all be the victims of bank fraud over the past few months. It's always 200 quid from a company called Streamline (3rd party transactions). There might be a shop or a bank machine locally where this all stems from. Anyone else suffered the same? Thanks, H
  6. True! Maybe we would need to fundraise to have the current ones fitted outside the doctor surgery/schools? As in the below post they can be fitted to external walls in secure boxes and when you call 999 they can give you the code to unlock it. [naru.org.uk]
  7. Hi all, Thank you for all the support and information! Keep it coming :) As far as i'm aware this is the registered map to check locations - http://www.heartsafe.org.uk/AED-Locations I think the main problem is 24/7 access? The majority are in GP'S/schools/sports halls so there is no access when they are closed. We have no access out of office hours to this equipment.
  8. Hi Everyone, After moving to the area I noticed a lack of defibrillator, there is only one at Sainsbury's and the access is with limited to the opening hours. Surrounding areas have no access. I was thinking about starting a fundraiser to get some machines in our local areas if there are enough people interested? I'd also need some suggestions of where they should be located - somewhere with 24 hour access ideally? These items are essential to saving life if you call an ambulance and it is required they will instruct you to the nearest one and give you a code to access it. They are simple to use, you just attach to the person in need and turn it on. The machine will determine if the shock is needed and monitor their heart rate until an ambulance arrives. http://www.heartsafe.org.uk/AED-Locations "A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it's an essential life saving step in the chain of survival."
