If you're in need of a painter/decorator, we would highly recommend Hussein of Hanoushka Decoration & Design (07491 113036). He has painted our hallway, snug and guest bathroom (including hanging some wallpaper) with great attention to detail and the finish is excellent. He is responsive, turns up when he says he will, takes great care to protect furniture and flooring during the process and is a nice guy to have around. He also has a good working knowledge of paints and finishes. Excellent all round.

I highly recommend Bob Barswell of Geek Electrics (07453 407 226) who helped us out with our lounge and study alcove lighting. He took the time to set out our options in a detailed email (with costings) and really went above and beyond to achieve what we wanted. He's super responsive, really pleasant to deal with and did the work for a great price. Fantastic.

We would also recommend Jack Hart at J H Plastering Services (07877 805665). He recently did some internal plastering for us and, separately, sorted out a damp issue in our downstairs loo. The quality of the work is excellent, his prices are very reasonable, and he's a really nice guy to deal with, too - very responsive and proactive about getting the job done.
