Lou is a senior editor at Making Pictures Soho and has spent the last decade working closely with a roster or exceptional photographers (Corinne Day, Dan Burn-Forti), editing their portfolio work and books. Lou will give a talk on some of her work and be happy to answer questions. Please bring a favourite book from your collection to share afterwords (not compulsory!). Wednesday morning at 10.30am we're running a black & white printing course at Bright Rooms in the Peckham Levels. No experience required just come and enjoy the traditional way of making a photograph! You can bring your own negatives (they don't have to be black and white negatives) or we have some you can use. Everything else is provided. ?45. Hi, on Sunday the 11th we're running a photographic workshop where you'll be able to bring a friend or loved one and create a beautiful portrait (or self portrait) using a rare photographic technique. This workshop will be run by practising photographers using 'direct positive paper' where the image is shot direct onto the paper - no film involved! You'll be using a custom built 11x14 camera and pinhole cameras to create wonderfully ethereal black & white images in the darkroom. We'll also be shooting still life as you get to experiment and explore the medium. The great thing about this technique is that each image is a one off, making it something to be treasured or a very special present. If your interested please get in touch. Hi! I run the Bright Rooms in Peckham at the Peckham Levels. We are a traditional darkroom and studio and run courses for kids and adults with the hope of making analogue photographic practice accessible and fun! Did you enjoy 'Shape of Light' at the Tate Modern? We've just launched an 'Artist Series' of courses including a 'Photogram & Manipulation' course run by practicing artists and photographers Alexandra Waespi & Imogen Davis on Saturday November 24th. Its a full day of creativity where you'll be making beautiful images using the personal techniques of these exciting and lovely artist.
