  1. KidKruger - thanks for the economic outlook on interest rates. Any insight on what this is based upon - how much do you think they will rise in 18 months for example? Will they continue to rise, go down, stay flat after 18 months? Any stock tips?
  2. You are quite correct. It does make you seem petty.
  3. No, just tick the box that says you are owner. Which I am not btw.
  4. From the ASKMID.com website: YES OV62RBY IS showing as insured on the Motor Insurance Database today. The details on the MID are: Vehicle Make/Model: SKODA SUPERB ELEGANCE TFSI
  5. Freeview and FreeSat are pretty much the same thing. If you have a good signal through your aerial and your TV is relatively recent then it is likely to have Freeview built in. Most new TV's have it or FreeView HD as standard. If you have no or bad aerial, then you can use your Sky dish (even if you keep Sky). You can run another lead (you might need an adapter - your installer can do this cheaply) off the dish and plug it into a FreeSat box (Argos sell them cheaply for about ?75 for an HD version) and this will deliver a similar result to FreeView. Therefore, if you have a good aerial and a TV that has FreeView built in, then I would do that, otherwise, go the FreeSat option.
  6. Partly but the main reason was because the response times are too slow or not at all
  7. ^ what Penguin says. I went through all is with DirectLine and then discovered loads of others didn't require all this stuff. I went to Churchill who were cheaper as well. In fact when I called an alarm company for a quote they said they would install one, but that they were a total waste if time and money and they suggested I try another insurance company!
  8. If its any help, that registration ties back to a Black Ford Fiesta as you say, and is showing as being an insured vehicle. Both good news ie not fake plates or uninsured etc
  9. Well if 'Mat Carlson, Duty Manager' is aware of this forum - maybe he would like to comment here. I agree the head office response really doesn't show any concern.
  10. "A planning application 12-AP-3604 has been submitted to turn the large ground floor of 41-43 East Dulwich Grove from offices into a shop - probably another Tesco or Sainsbury's." I think you meant East Dulwich ROAD,not East Dulwich GROVE - slightly different implications....
  11. Sorry to hear that - what kind of bike was it? Reg no?

If you'd checked DVLA you'd have seen that it's taxed until 1 Mar 2013. So what was the point of the message?
  13. ^^^^ What I just said....
  14. Seriously - do we need any more posts about a Pumpkin. Watch C4 now and put your lives back in perspective.
  15. The car wash in the Hamlet football car park at Sainsburys is as good as any in the area
  16. Accident on Turney Road, 2 boys involved ran off, passenger apprehended outside Au Ciel in the Village, the driver ran off across back gardens, dog unit searching, including begind North Dulwich Tennis Club.
  17. The vehicle with that registration number is registered as a LDV CONVOY 3.5T LPG HL and is showing as insured on the insurance database. Your insurance company are wrong. Check at askmid.co.uk It is also showing as taxed until next year. Therefore everything in order. Colour is white - are you sure it wasn't a council truck?
  18. It's very simple. There is an area called North Dulwich which is not Herne Hill. You suggestion is the same as saying that there is no such thing as EAST Dulwich, because it is actually Peckham. The Sydenham Hll thing is a red herring because there is no real South Dulwich, unless you want to call most of the Dulwich College land South Dulwich, which no one else really is all that bothered about. And Dulwich Village is basically the centre of all of the above. That everyone in E, N, W & S Dulwich aspire to.
  19. Yaaaaawn.
  20. I think you need to get a life and start worrying about something important. If you don't like it, don't go there.
  21. The crucial thing to know is that under no circumstances should you let them in. Once they have gained entry, they then have rights to remove goods that they don't have if they have not been given entry. They cannot force an entry. As advised, call the police if necessary. Don't forget they get paid for successfully getting back what they are owed so it is in their interests to gain entry, but whatever they say they are allowed to do, do not let them in.
  22. From BBC Traffic: A201 City Of London - Queueing traffic and one lane closed on A201 New Bridge Street in both directions in Blackfriars at the A3211 Victoria Embankment junction, because of an accident involving a van and a cyclist. Congestion to the B300 Union Street junction.

    Stolen Car

It might help if you told us the registration no and maybe a picture?
  24. ..but what am I supposed to do if I want to use one of my cars and happen to live in Dulwich Village?
  25. > > Highlights this edition include: > > - George Monbiot comes to Dulwich (13 May) > > - Dulwich Village road closure and fun/pram races > (15 May) Oh good grief. Dulwich Village road closure? Good luck with that.
