  1. Another recommendation for Balfe's - I much prefer their level of service, and (unlike Evans) they will do their best to fit you in for any repair/mechanical work on your bike. They cannot quite compete with the likes of Evans in terms of sheer variety, but they are very well stocked with the 'essentials' and have very good mechanics.
  2. Remove parked cars from one side of lordship lane and expand the pavement. we have too much public space devoted to cars. shops/restaurants/bars can spill out onto some of that space. It would be a much nicer environment.
  3. Saw some of the cabs being towed by an AA van this evening.
  4. @brightfield - nice find! [kei-studios.com] Plenty of space down the back of the shop for tables when they don't need to do any of the bread making on site.
  5. As many of these taxis (I can see at least 3 from my front door) are taxed etc. so to not be considered 'abandoned', they surely must be generating revenue for the owner. My theory is there is some payment to be made for advertising on the side of the taxis, meaning that either advertiser and/or media company are being scammed. (or it could just be someone who REALLY likes decrepit black cabs)
  6. We often get a taxi to east Croydon Station (?20) and then a train to Gatwick (?6). Very quick, but depends upon how many of you/how much luggage you have.
  7. It is strange. If that?s a 2017-plate taxi of c.?30k value, why would anyone leave it unused on a residential street for months?
  8. It's one guy parking these taxis along that part of Crystal Palace Road. He leaves them there for months at a time, adding a new one from time to time. It's bizarre, as a parked black cab isn't doing what it's intended for: pounding the streets and taking fares.
