Anyone else fed up with the amount of dog poo left on pavements in the area? Particularly bad around Oakhurst Grove, The Gardens and Tyrrell Road… Some of it is huge, so presumably a big dog, and left. Today I had to push the pram off the pavement and onto the road for two or three meters as a poo was smeared the whole way down the pavement. Is there anything that can be done? Can it be reported to the council? Something has to be done. I am a dog owner and it would never cross my mind to leave a dog poo, in the pavement, road, park, woods, anywhere.

A must see at Jeannie Avent at the moment is a new artist Clementine Swift featuring 'Waterline', a series of hand-pulled limited edition screen prints inspired by boats from English coastal towns and her travels around the world. I should have posted this earlier as Clementine has been there a few days already and it ends on Wednesday, so LAST TWO DAYS are today and tomorrow. It's well worth a visit - I've never seen the gallery space look so professional and inspiring! The artist is a delight and so interesting to talk to - I didn't know much about the complicated screen printing process, but she told me all about it... and WOW her work! It's real art, unique, colourful, abstract, interesting, special AND super affordable... I came away with 3!
