  1. Morrisons had no limit. One chap had ?70's worth of fuel and others were filling up petrol cans. We only filled our small car
  2. We managed to get petrol this morning at Morrisons. As mentioned above, the staff were fair and organised and a chap who attempted to queue jump and refused to budge only moved and joined the end of the queue, when they told him he would be refused petrol at the pumps. Anyhow we were there around about an hour. We did try the two garages by Goose Green before heading to Morrisons and both had "no petrol" signs up. Good luck - I keep thinking of the original Mad Max film.
  3. Southwark Council have put up a no fly tipping sign on the wall where the majority of fly tipping in this street is done. Not made any difference whatsoever unfortunately.
  4. Yes I have eaten at Franklin's several times. Thank you again for all these recommendations.
  5. Do let us know how it goes. Menu looks really interesting
  6. Thank you all for these recommendations - much appreciated
  7. What is your favour restaurant in East Dulwich. I am looking to take a few friends out to dinner on Monday evening = not the best day of the week to eat out. They do not have any diet restrictions. Just looking for somewhere with a nice atmosphere and good food. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you
  8. Which Sainsbury's? I do not recognise the photographs - doesn't look like Dog Kennel Hill.. I will go and get the cat and find help. Can't leave the poor thing suffering
  9. Are you still running the meetings at the community centre? I would very much like to speak to one of you. Thank you
  10. I went at 10.40 am and there are queues but I got in fairly fast. There were still queues when I left. Speaking to a couple in the queue, they were buying food as they cannot visit a relative who now has lots of food and will be alone. They in turn had no food as they are expecting to go there. I think people who had hoped to be elsewhere went up there to fill up their fridges. It wasn't too awful and between Monday and Wed they are open from 6am to midnight so there will be plenty of time to shop
  11. Crisis at Christmas usually do but it might be a bit too late to apply and things are obviously different this year.
  12. It is scary to hear about these things so close to home. What sods and hardly short of a few quad driving a car like that and happy to rob an old boy. Well done to you
  13. Does Mcash cover Peckham Rye area - we are off Bellenden Road? Would you happen to know
  14. Can anyone recommend a window shutter company? Left a message with South London Shutters but they have yet to get back in touch. Hillary?s have quoted but the reviews are not fabulous. Anyone had good service ? Thanks
  15. Sorry about the meat. Most odd because someone on here posted 31st March saying there was so much meat available, the bulk of which was "sell by 1st April'. When I was in Waitrose the other day (Oxford Street) the butcher was calling me over (not many in shop) telling me of all his bargain priced meat. I wonder whether they have reduced their stocks of meat if they are not selling and that is why they are now rationing it. By the way - lovely idea of saying hello. I am 100% with you on your corner shop mentality. When you think how much Sainsbury's are making, they could give staff bonus etc - that would make them smile
  16. Not that I noticed unfortunately. I keep my distance and move quite fast to get what I want an pd get home.
  17. I went to Sainsbury's today at 12.15pm and there was actually space in the car park. There were toilet rolls, milk, lots of fruit and vegetables and an air of calm about the place. It was a totally difference place to a week ago. Accepted people have got stockpiles and possibly do not need to refill but I do believe people are beginning to realise that the shelves will be re-stocked. The wine aisle was still rather empty.
  18. TOTALLY AGREE - WE HAD BUILDERS NEXT DOOR. WORKING OVER THE HOURS, SUNDAY WORKING, DUST AND RUBBISH EVERYWHERE. NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT, CONSTANT NOISE, HOUSE VIBRATING - A NIGHTMARE THAT WENT ON FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS. THE COUNCIL JUST DO NOT CARE
  19. ODDLY ENOUH THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO. YOU CAN RING THE NOISE TEAM AND THEY WILL COME OUT EVEN IF THE NOISE IS DURING THE DAY. I GOT TOLD OFF FOR PLAYING MY XMAS CAROLS A BIT LOUD AT 4PM DURING THE WEEKDAY ONCE. I THOUGHT IT WAS OKAY DURING THE DAYTIME BUT APPARENTLY NOT. JUST TO STATE I DON'T NORMALLY PLAY LOUDISH MUSIC BUT WE WERE HAVING A WEEKDAY PARTY
  20. I can trump you all - our neighbours deliberately built their extension across the boundary to try and take some of our garden. They gave us fake plans and supplied fake plans to Southwark (who did little when they discovered this), both surveyors (party wall surveyors). Their own builders ran away from the job and have refused to meet my surveyor. When I said I would pay for a boundary surveyor to try and resolve the issue, the owners refused. I arranged for mediation and they shut that down. Our security cameras which we had to buy due to the behaviour of the builders, were hacked. Our property was watched as the builders were waiting for us to leave in order that they could move the fence further in to our garden. My husband was followed the street and intimating heavies were behaving in a threatening behaviour and we had chalk marks left on our wall. If you think I am making this up please DM me as you are welcome to see the extension, fake plans, hacking footage etc.
