Lots of bats around my area in Forest Hill. Me and the kids did a really enjoyable Bat Walk in the Sydenham Hill area a couple of summers back where you walk around with bat detectors and listen to them use their sonar. Not sure if it is an on-going thing, but would highly recommend!

Hi Jacob, I used to find it useful to walk up and down the high street and check for any signs in the windows, though I admit there is a bit of luck involved there. I used to work for a couple of the hospitality agencies as well which is good for flexible summer work -
