I'm surprised that anyone could think this about Dulwich library. Sometimes there are a few kids around and library's aren't very quiet these days but you dont have to hang around , get your book and do the reading at home! They also have a good selection of cds, computers upstairs in a quiet warm room. You can order any book you like and there are displays of recommended books for a quick choice. Borrowing books is also very green, and they even have paperbacks now! I love Dulwich Libary.

  2. I dont have a problem with this question and I also think that it shouldnt matter that subjects have been done already as there are always new people on the forum who might care to start a new (to them)discussion.

I'm speaking very much as one of the ponces who likes all the poncyness. We moved here just as it all started about seven years ago I reckon, because it was relatively cheap and there are loads and loads of three bed family houses which we could buy for the same price as a 1 bed in Brixton. Thats what happened, lots of middle class ponces moved here when they had kids, either from North London or the more tubified areas of South London and that inevitably put the prices up.We bought a grotty old house off a not very poncey woman who wanted to move to Canvey Island, did it up and so it goes.....

Would also like to add that Sean I agree with everything you say ....always... weird.

  3. Just to get off the subject of black pudding for a bit.( what is white pudding anyway? The puss as opposed to the blood I presume.)

I have to say that the Blue Brick wins my vote. As a veggy, the chips are the most important bit of the fry up for me and at the BB they're homemade. Theres a certain charm to the place as well.

  4. I'd vote for Ken everytime. I agree that until now there hasnt been a credible opponent and as much as I like Boris when he's on Question time and Have I got news for you, hes still a Tory. Louisa I dont agree that the Mayors role is just as a figurehead, He has real power and has made London a better place to be.
