I'm surprised that anyone could think this about Dulwich library. Sometimes there are a few kids around and library's aren't very quiet these days but you dont have to hang around , get your book and do the reading at home! They also have a good selection of cds, computers upstairs in a quiet warm room. You can order any book you like and there are displays of recommended books for a quick choice. Borrowing books is also very green, and they even have paperbacks now! I love Dulwich Libary.
  4. I have just reported my 4th film as lost to lovefilm today. Thats in the space of a month. Last week I found a package I had ordered on line in my recycling bin and a rather expensive games console behind my rubbish bin. I suppose at least they were delivered. Edited because I suggested that the binmen might have taken away a heavy box, which is ridiculous.
  5. Why has noone mentioned the horse sex ??? Please can this no longer be the thread of how much the farm shop charges.
  6. 51. If you look HERE you'll see that this has already been discussed on previous threads ( and you're obviously new so not really part of the club unless you say something funny)
  7. I once met him at a party in Vauxhall square years ago. We had a chat and he seemed like the most normal guy in the world, really nice and interesting. Just goes to show.( not sure what- maybe, dont judge a book...)
  8. I dont have a problem with this question and I also think that it shouldnt matter that subjects have been done already as there are always new people on the forum who might care to start a new (to them)discussion. I'm speaking very much as one of the ponces who likes all the poncyness. We moved here just as it all started about seven years ago I reckon, because it was relatively cheap and there are loads and loads of three bed family houses which we could buy for the same price as a 1 bed in Brixton. Thats what happened, lots of middle class ponces moved here when they had kids, either from North London or the more tubified areas of South London and that inevitably put the prices up.We bought a grotty old house off a not very poncey woman who wanted to move to Canvey Island, did it up and so it goes..... Would also like to add that Sean I agree with everything you say ....always... weird.
  9. I do eat eggs although prefer them in omelette form as not to keen on eggy smells.I eat cheese milk and other animal products but would rather something didnt have to die to feed me. Mmm- White pudding sounds delicious!
  10. Just to get off the subject of black pudding for a bit.( what is white pudding anyway? The puss as opposed to the blood I presume.) I have to say that the Blue Brick wins my vote. As a veggy, the chips are the most important bit of the fry up for me and at the BB they're homemade. Theres a certain charm to the place as well.
  11. I'd vote for Ken everytime. I agree that until now there hasnt been a credible opponent and as much as I like Boris when he's on Question time and Have I got news for you, hes still a Tory. Louisa I dont agree that the Mayors role is just as a figurehead, He has real power and has made London a better place to be.
  12. Do you reckon we can let our kids walk to school on their own again? I just called the police to confirm that the person arrested was the same guy which was a bit useless and silly of me really as offcourse they couldnt tell me anything. Do we assume that they've got the guy now?
