Hi everyone! We are looking for a builder to remove an existing ground floor fireplace and open up/cut into the chimney breast to increase the height of the opening and insert a lintel etc. We don't want the whole breast removed we just want to raise the height of the opening (and keep the width the same) so that we can install a storage unit into this space. Does anyone have a reliable and good priced builder to recommend? We might have other jobs to be done later. I have attached a photo of the chimney breast right now. Thanks!
