Akitas (the proliferation of Akita dogs)
Jess_mw replied to Monkey's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think I've come across this duo recently whilst walking my dog on Lordship L. They're strong dogs and can easily take their owners for a ride! It's all about responsible dog ownership and training though, no need to hate on the breeds... -
Be aware! Townley Road "Penalty fine" on bank holiday
Jess_mw replied to RenatoMattos's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sigh. I wish I'd seen this before getting caught on the next bank holiday Monday! I find it to be very confusingly placed signage if not familiar with the specific rules and location in advance... vey harsh also for those struggling with bills at the moment. -
Hello, I'm planning a holiday for the first week of July (2-10) and unfortunately can't take my doggo... Does anyone know someone who's reliable and caring, who'd be willing to take them into their home (and doesn't charge extortionate fees)? Dog is a neutered 5 year-old male, well trained, friendly with humans, dogs, kids, squirrels (no cats though, sorry).

My 4yr old dog was attacked by a Ridgeback in Peckham Rye park today. It was completely unprovoked as my dog is neutered and has no dominant traits; he just trotted up to a group of dogs who were all unleashed. I was too shaken up and quick to leave the scene but it turns out my dog was left with a bad puncture wound on his back, which required an urgent vet visit, antibiotics and pain medication. The owner stayed with her dog and her friends as I attached my dog and moved away. Does this story ring a bell to anyone who might know the owner? I'd like to get in touch. Has anyone had a similar experience?
