conveyencing solicitor - any good reccomendations?
Herne Hill Guest replied to haggis's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Glazer Delmar do conveyancing and they are doing a great job for me at the moment. Recommend. -
This is a subject that really brings out the anger in a lot of Forum members. I have every sympathy with you but you need to be aware that abuse is coming your way. I work outdoors and I hear everything. Over the last couple weeks, I've not been able to hear sound at the normal level through my earbuds. It's not that the planes are louder (although they are more frequent than during lockdown). I think there's been some sort of atmospheric thing, low pressure or something. It's been the same with traffic. Even just one car driving slowly has been LOUD.

Me, for two/three days. Finally reported it. Might help if you do too.

I can recommend Amy Lamont Fitness. She also has a website with free and paid content. New stuff is added almost daily. There's quite a range available, work outs, weight classes, combat style and Pilox, among others. She gives regressive moves that you can try until you become familiar with it all and your fitness improves. Her good humour and lovely personality comes across. Amy has kept me sane and fit throughout lockdown. She also does classes locally which I'm sure will be available again soon.

My premium slowly crept up over the years and then one day I rang them. Random adjustments that I had not requested had been added automatically by their computerised system. It's well worth ringing them to register your concern and ask for the quote to be lowered. I only had to call once, now it only goes up by pennies each year.

What are the dates please.

Seconded for Jack who did a great job for me with a damp chimney breast. -
Buildings insurance - subsidence
Herne Hill Guest replied to MiniViking's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I've heard of a Norwich Union policy which provides insurance if the subsidence was 15 or 25 years ago (can't remember which). -
Another thumbs up here for Jack. He did some damp proof plastering on a saturated chimney breast for me.

It's susceptible to Honey Fungus. There are many more hedges that do not need a lot of care. Have a look here http://www.hedgenursery.co.uk

Keys4U are NOT Callow Lock / Key Smith
Herne Hill Guest replied to SueJ's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Similar happened to me although with a different lock smith. I'm not saying this happened here, but in my case the work was licensed out by the locksmith to a local carpenter for a fee. The carpenter was annoyed as I could just have easily rung him and he would have got the whole fee. -
Possible Japanese knotweed on Oglander Road

They spent millions removing it from the Olympic site. Definitely not an old wives tale.
