Looking for 1-to-1 private badminton coaching. I'm looking to get back into badminton and play at a decent level. I've had a couple of games, but I need to work on my shot selection, reading of the game and general consistency. It would be great to go to the clubs I currently go to and whip some people's ....! Don't be surprised, that's exactly what happened and yes the Police did check, after much added pressure from a sister who is a Forensic Scientist who knew exactly what to enquire and test. Due to the law, unless the DNA was inside the car, and it wasn't possible to pursue. It had to be 100% correct that the chewing wasn't coincidentally there, which is unfortunate.

Hello, firstly, sorry that this happened to you. It's actually quite traumatic once the shock subsides and you realise the full extent of what has happened. I use to live on Adys Road about a year ago and my car wheels were stolen and then literally a week before, a neighbour half way down also nearly had his car stolen. Having spoken to the Police, they said that ED was a hot target area, because people assume that because it's an affluent area, cars could never be burgled. They never caught the person, but they did find some chewing gum just outside the car, which had a positive match of a criminal, however, because the chewing gum was left outside the car, they couldn't tie it to the person. In the end, I resorted to buying a Viper security alarm system with electronic remote, which informs me if anyone is trying to jack the car up, open the windows or even move the car. I haven't slept better since, however, I'm still on my guard, because when thieves want your car, they'll go all out.. Good luck though, as I think Adys Road in particular is a hot spot.

To help you on this one, contact your councils noise and nuisance team and if it's really loud and effecting your daily living experience, they can help to intervene. They could even help send letters to neighbours. They would come around and assess the noise first. Obviously, you note times within the day, as opposed to after 11pm, which would immediately be illegal. The music being played aloud before this time, would need to be assessed by them. Hello, Could be a possibility that it's cannabis cultivation related noise! Unfortunately I've just moved out of a flat, where the neighbours were growing cannabis and using an extractor fan, which gives off a low bass hum, to help mask the smell. The noise was driving us crazy and it took us many months to figure it out and piece all the bits of evidence together. Initially we thought it was an unbalanced washing machine, and then a broken down boiler, but eventually the signs that it was much worse than those became evident. Keep making a note of when you are sharing the noise and get onto the councils noise and nuisance enforcement team, who can come and check out the noise for you, especially if it's destroying your daily standard of living experience.

Hello, so I've just moved out of a place with what I would call nightmare neighbours. Firstly in answer to your question, according to different boroughs/councils, using washing machines and domestic appliances outside of daytime hours i.e sunrise (07.30 - 18.00)is classed as antisocial behaviour. In this instance, if they are repeatedly using the washing machine, especially around night time, then you will have a case. In this instance, if you haven't already, get in touch with your councils noise and nuisance team and they will send an officer round to assess the noise from your home and will then intervene and speak to your neighbours. Secondly, and this is where I'll have to play devils advocate with you. Basically I found out that what I thought was a washing machine/dryer from my neighbours who, like you were using their washing machine in the early hours of the morning and basically throughout the whole day, intermittently, was actually because it wasn't a washing machine that we were hearing. Our ex neighbours were actually excessive cannabis users, growing cannabis in their flat and the sound was an extractor fan, which sounded like a washing machine. I hope this is not the case with your neighbours, but after going through this whole terrible nightmare, there is a lot of research and statistics to show that there are many people growing cannabis etc in their flats, as it's not what people expect. Hopefully something in what I've written will be of use, (I hope not the latter!) Good luck!

Dr Jennie Harries seems to be the only voice of reason on the daily Coronavirus updates. I love how she breaks things down and has the ability to look at an issue from all perspectives and then speak about it in an accessible way. I especially loved how she spoke about unpacking how we look at ethnicity in relation to Covid-19 yesterday, a conversation which needs to be looked out through all lenses. She's bang on it! Hi, Thanks for checking in. So funnily enough, I think I have some further clues. There is a real possibility that it might not even be the CH, but rather a washing machine/tumble dryer and today I went down as it came on after two days of no sound and I heard the noise from one of my neighbours flats. Completely shocked about it. They're currently out and there's been no noise. My only issue is, is that Ive never heard their washing machine/tumble dryer until today, so perhaps it's broken and they don't know?

Hi Sue, Thanks for your tips. Good to know others have gone through this. Currently looking for some type of white noise, but not been successful yet. I definitely believe it's a boiler issue, but you're right. It's difficult to locate the direction of the sound. Praying for a miracle!
