  1. Now down to £55. It's a great way for the kids to dip their toes into learning the piano. Our kids have had about 20ish lessons on this piano and it's been fine. Once you get past this threshold, it is worth upgrading. Worth buying to try and see if they want to learn this instrument. I am over East Dulwich way over the next few days so could deliver.
  2. Dear all, All working and in great condition. We have the box. Kids have enjoyed this and selling as we are upgrading to a fully weighted full size digital piano. £70 Se231jy

  4. Its very dark in the winter. I am pleased that some dog owners put lights on their dogs. The owners sometimes surprise me, I think they need lights too. (Cyclist)
  5. Do you let the kids play with the car keys? I do, and as such, never leave anything in the car that I would regret being nicked. People been our car 3 times. 2 iPods. One sat nav. They always leave the cd's. Adys Road.
  6. Having our car broken into 3 times - 1 - sat nav and 2 iPods stolen 2 - ipod (stupid me) 3 - nothing to nick but glove compartment left open After number 2 I leave nothing worth taking in the car. All times, the car was locked, but the kids play with the keys............????????? Chancers maybe?

Surely dog owners who let their dogs off the lead can control their dog? Oh, I forget, some can't. (not directed at you, just the other dog owners who are slowly turning young children to fear dogs as the owners can't control them. I have experienced this many times in GG. My 4 YO fears dogs).
  8. We did the Shoreham to Eynsford walk yesterday. You can extend this walk by getting off at Otford and walking to Shoreham first. Total walk time was 2.5 hours, but we are fairly fast walkers It wasn't particularly exciting as you are mostly in a valley, but, ITS BUGGYABLE!!!!! (though Otford to Shoreham is not when its been wet). Paths most of the way, good bird life, playground half way, Farm shop, Excellent food at the Plough pub (though a little pricy). The exception is towards the end when you reach Point 7. There are some good views at point 9 to 11 but from point 11 to 12, the path is fairly narrow and I would prefer to skip this bit with a pushchair. So from point 7, don't turn off and carry on ahead. I am looking forward to visiting again as its the first time we have done the bit from Shoreham to Eynsford. Also, there is a direct train from Peckham Rye meaning you can stay in the pub til the last train leaves. ;)
  9. As a Dad, I would wholly recommend both. NCT has its uses but Hypnobirthing gave me some jobs to do, making me part of the birthing process too. We did it with Holly too. Go for both, you both (Mum and Dad)will benefit. Lee
  10. It looks good. Who needs parallel lines?

We look > forward to seeing you all, kindest, Richard Balfe. I just had my bike serviced in Balfes ED and they completed an excellent job. The bike had not had any maintenance done on it since purchase 11 years ago. A few new parts and a general service and its running like a new bike. Once home, google searches see the recommended parts as the most cost effective for their intended use, rather than use more expensive over-specced parts with multi uses. Would Evans do the same job? Maybe/maybe not, but I will be back to Balfes.
  12. I heard and saw a rat today in the drain on Ondine Road. On the corner with Marsden Rd.

  14. Hi, I just did a quick search for Goat and found this thread. I also recommend the Irish butcher near Primark. Goat - anyone know where I can get it. Today, Irish Butchers and Dennis did not have it. I can get it in Sydenham but want to get it closer. It does taste better than Mutton. It has a delicious fatty quality. Many thanks.
  15. I think 30 mins on lordship lane is fine, but I would as I live less than 5 mins walking distance. It is handy to be able to pop to a shop. 1 hr on the side roads would encourage more people to drive, rather than take the bus. Would this encourage more shoppers?
  16. I live at the end of Ondine road and the sparrow flock live opposite in a garden with a garage, also at the end of ondine road. I must admit, I have not been outside much over the christmas period and hope that the sparrows are still about. I will be on the lookout as they use my garden often. Come to think of it, the fat ball is untouched. Lee
  17. Buy a big, loud bell. You will need it for the pedestrians who seem to not notice cyclists. Traffic can be loud and its the only way they will hear you.
  18. Just a word of warning if you have kids. Our car was burgled a while ago and I was convinced I locked the door. I think my 1 yr old had my keys and, messing with the buttons, unlocked the car from the house. If thieves periodically check car doors, especially in Dulwich with a large proportion of toddlers, they will get lucky once in a while. DON'T GIVE YOUR CAR KEYS TO YOUR YOUNG KIDS!!! Lee
  19. Just saved ?20. 18 engaged tones. Now eating egg on toast. :)
  20. Anyone able to order yet? I tried on the opening night, on the saturday night and again tonight for half an hour. Engaged. No luck yet.
  21. We are so lucky here. Just been to Bournemouth to see family. The council want ?35 to move my sisters old sofa from the street (if she could afford to dump it). She is a single mum on benefits and wants to shift some stuff to the tip but has no car. The council wanted ?68 for moving the lot. Well done Southwark!
  22. Wierd I read this thread. I am sure I heard an owl a few nights ago (corner of Adyd Rd and Ondine Rd). I dismissed this thought as I live in london. Sounds like there is a Tawny owl around. Maybe it will eat the mouse that I saw two nights ago that is eating the spoils of the bird food (wishful thinking).
  23. Hi, Just to let people know that I got into my car today and someone had been through the glove compartment. They stole a few things of insignificant value to maybe ?30. The reason I am posting this is a few months ago the same thing happened but last time they stole items to the value of about ?400. After the first theft I have been taking precautions and will do so in the future. There is clearly someone targeting this area. Did I leave the car open twice? Forget to lock it once, this can happen. But twice?????? Even so, someone either knows how to get into my locked car or is checking cars to see if they are unlocked. Lee
