  1. My daughters' beloved rabbits have escaped from the garden. I know it's a long shot but if anyone finds a white rabbit or a black and white rabbit around Marmora road please inbox me 😞
  2. After absolutely loving the trial lesson, my girls have just started at The South London School of Ballet and are really happy there. I find it nicer to do a regular thing as long as it's close to home and at a convenient time and as long as you don't end up having too many regular things/classes (which is what happened to us at one point).
  3. Kings and I'm pretty sure you can self refer. We have been with them for almost a decade and they are brilliant
  4. One thing that helped me was having the eldest two in afterschool club a couple of days a week. This meant I got proper full days with the little one. The school day just seems really short when you factor in drop off and pick up times. I would say it's exhausting but massively fun having three especially when they reach an age where they all start playing together! Mine are 5, 8 & 10 now and sometimes I don't see them for hours as they're off playing (making tents or drawing on their little sister's face!)
  5. Hi I hope he's better now. I've asked my GP this question about antibiotics in the past and the reason that they are prescribed even when it's a virus is because viruses cause secondary bacterial infections (so when you have a virus your body is prone to or vulnerable to bacterial infections, I think conjunctivitis is bacterial for example). Viruses are difficult to treat and take a lot of testing to pinpoint. When my daughter was unwell she had to be treated with broad spectrum anti-virals via a drip and they still didn't really know what they were treating they just threw everything at it. In the end I think her body fought it off.
  6. Hi lovely people, Does anyone know of any hip hop/ breakdance/ Bollywood classes locally? My ten year old wants to extend her dance skills and get into new genres of dance but all of the classes seem to be in central London. She already does ballet, two etc so not looking for that. Thanks
  7. My girls used to go years ago and really enjoyed it. The pool is super shallow (less than half a metre when they raise the floor) and really warm. The children can easily walk around in it. They didn't make much progress but I know other children who did.
  8. Hi Does anyone have an adult size Captain Hook costume that I can borrow/buy/hire? Or even the hat and the hook?? Just been asked to dress is as Hook for world book day on Thursday as part of our team at work.... Short notice so scrambling for items!
  9. My girls loved the explorers hotel. Cheap and cheerful. Basic rooms but two fab pirate ships (one in the lobby and one outdoors), a soft play area and a large swimming pool with slides etc. one of mine has allergies and they were very accommodating with the manager making her meals and storing and warming food brought from home. This made a huge difference to our trip. Shuttle bus to the parks and nice to be away from the parks in the evening actually. Didn't like the bedding and the bath was tiny, but then you get what you pay for when it comes to the rooms.
  10. I had a lovely massage and facial at Mothers Inc last week! What a wonderful, relaxing place. I've had treatments before but found them very clinical, this was lovely. I felt as if I was out of London away at a spa. Definitely a lovely treat for us mums who don't do enough for ourselves and great that it is so local (on Forest Hill Road near the top of Peckam Rye).
