  1. Thank you everyone for your replies, I really appreciate it. I got in touch with 111 and spoke with a very friendly lady who said a triage nurse will contact me to see if whether my issue is serious enough to go and have it checked out, and am just waiting on her call.
  2. Hi my local dentist, Borough Dental is closed and they have told me they are not open for anything even emergencies, and suggested I try Guys dental. I was just wondering if anyone has had any help when calling 111 and explaining their dental problems? I read on Guys website that this is the only way they will see people and obviously if 111 deems the problem serious enough. My filling came out and if it was just pain I would dose up on paracetamol and orajel, but there is a very sharp edge on my tooth which is really hurting my tongue and it's painful to eat and even talk. I am going to try and put the filling back but just wanted to know if anyone has any success calling 111? Thanks
  3. This thread is great, I'm about to start fostering dogs and it's great to know so many local places accept dogs so I can start getting out and about with my new friend, and treating myself to some tasty food/drink at the same time.
  4. I'm not sure if I've posted this in the right thread, so apologies if not. I have a large three seater and two seater sofa that need moving from a second floor flat (no lift) to just outside my block for pick up from the council. All I can find are removal men from A to B as it were, rather than just from second floor to outside, do any companies/people exist that do this? I would give them away but don't think they have the fire safety label, as I got them second hand. Thanks
  5. Hi, hoping someone can help. I received a letter from Southwark council saying I would receive a cheque for ?88 and some pence due to the water charges refund, and this is the confusing part. The end of June I saw a credit of ?92 on my rent statement , but as I was ?5 in arrears, it took it down to ?88 and some pence, but around two weeks I saw a debit of ?88 on my rent statement, which means I now have ?70 on my rent account this week, but I paid enough rent to make sure I wouldn't have to pay until next week. I called someone from the rent team and he did try and explain but I really didn't understand. I was just wondering if anyone could help, as I feel that the council haven't actually refunded me any money, as it seems that they credited my rent account then debited it weeks later. Thank you
  6. I am hoping to buy a sideboard and have it delivered next Saturday, but the problem I have is I no one to carry it to my second floor flat. The sideboard is from a charity shop and the driver is only insured to the first floor and he may not have anyone with him, and I don't know if he will be fit so know he won't be able to do it on his own. Does anyone know of any companies/individuals who just do moving, lifting furniture etc. I live in Camberwell, thanks.

What caused the situation to arise? From what I know of him, he hasd never been on medication, was not even under a doctor for his problems. I really don't think he will be fine on his return. He and my husband are from the same country and the neighbour believes that someone from his country put something in his head, and my husband said he would try and get someone to help him, but because he didn't the neighbour got it into his head that we were brining evil spirits into his life???? He used to always sit by the window so can see you when you approach the communal door, and before you reach our door he could be out of his flat and down the stairs. He can be watched as closely as anything but that doesn't ease my mind.

Hi, I have a new housing officer and she seems to be as bad as the last one. I called my former housing office the day after the incident and left two voicemails saying that I was terrified of returning to my home, she didn't call me until the following weekme back until the Monday(I called her Thursday)saying she left me a voicemail even though she didn't, and said that she had passed my details on to my new housing officer. I gave her a call last Monday and she didn't call me until Weds, and then left a voicemail asking me to give her a call. I have been away for a few days so will give her a call tomorrow and see what rubbish she comes out with. I'm not sure I have a residents association, will check, have written to my mp and awaiting his reply.
  10. I think the police will inform us when he is released but further than that I don't think they will contact us. My husband deleted :'( a voicemail which gave another number incase we wanted to find out whats happening, and I have told him to call them again to find out for certain what is happening, but he is adamant he won't. His attitude is that when he comes out he comes out. The police won't tell me anything as I wasn't the victim.
  11. I live in a property owned by the lovely (6) Southwark council and two weeks ago my upstairs neighbour chased my husband with a knive. We reported it to the police who arrested my neighbour and kept him in overnight in the cells while assessing his mental health. He has still not returned to the property so I guess he is in some kind of pyschatric unit, but I am sick with worry about what will happen if he comes back to his flat. I have written to my local mp asking for advice, and am waiting for a reply from them. I don't know if/when he will be back, and the waiting is making me ill. I know both myself and my husband won't be able to stay here knowing he is so close, and not knowing what his mental health is. My housing officer is useless as our the council, so really don't know who to turn to now. I feel that now we will be his main target as we got him arrested and if they bring him back here it is just asking for trouble.
  12. I know this isn't the West Dulwich forum, but please be kind as I used to live in East Dulwich, and not having much luck in the West Dulwich forum. Hi, I have just moved to the area(Elmworth Grove), and just have a few questions. I only know of the following buses that run near where I live, 3, P13, and P4. Are there any other bus routes nearby? My husband works in Vauxhall, and starts at 6am, judging by the timetable bus 3, doesn't start running a day time route until 5.45 am. Where is the nearest supermarket, and off licence? I know Tesco Express is near, but that is to expensive for me to do a full shop there. Are we nearer to Norwood, than Camberwell? Hope I can get some answers, thanks for helpng.
