Hello! Theoretical models have proposed that difficulties in social cognition play a key role in the development and progression of disordered eating in anorexia nervosa. These difficulties are believed to fuel anxiety and isolation, creating more space for the illness to take over. However, there is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding the mechanisms through with these difficulties impact anorexia nervosa and how these difficulties should be examined. Therefore, we are developing new assessments to examine the role of social cognition in anorexia nervosa by examining both behavioural and brain responses to various situations. For this study we are looking for 18 ? 25 year old women with or without a current diagnosis of anorexia nervosa to help us evaluate the new assessments. The study involves a screening phone call and an in-person experimental visit to King?s College London Denmark Hill campus. The experimental visit will take approximately 2.5 hours and afterwards you will receive ?40 reimbursement.
