Hi Jessie Jessie, Not all agents continue to take fees if the tenants stay and not all agents charge 14% plus VAT to let and manage a property - that is high. If you are going abroad, it is much better to have a local agent to look after your property for you, esp. if you're going to the other side of the world. This gives you peace of mind. Oh and have you got your Non Resident Landlord form completed? check HMRC website for this.

I'm sorry but I cannot recommend David from Norwood Roofing. I found him rude, discourteous and when he wants his money, he is very aggressive. His prices were expensive but I used him because of his guarantee. I have had to ask him back to deal with a recurrent problem on a roof, but he has given up on this problem all together and says it has nothing to do with him. A guarantee isn't worth the paper it is written on unless the tradesman comes back to have another look. It's a shame but please think twice before using him.
