I would just like to make a quick post about the unused space of the old grove pub. At the start of May a couple of us started clearing the two unused carparks of all its rubbish and glass on the floor. since then it has changed rapidly into a abit of a community project to make it as good as possible to skate. We have all collectively tried to keep people breaking in to the actual pub and tried to make everyone walking past feel welcomed to come and have a chat or even help out. Id just like to mention this space has been unused for 8 years.We have spoken to the police alot and they have been fine with us skating there for minimal complaints. The land owners are threatening to come in and have to knock our stuff down in order to get equipment in to make the pub more secured. We have creatively turned an unused space into something much more valuable than most things can even account for.
