  1. Also highly recommend James, extremely helpful, great communication, care with moving all our items. Even had to tackle a very heavy mirror and was willing to come out on a Bank Holiday Monday!
  2. I just wanted to ask if anyone finds a Navy blue Nike rucksack in the vicinity of East Dulwich Road, it may belong to me! Please email [email protected] or PM me. It would just have a white cardigan, make up and a teeshirt in it now. I work in a shop on East Dulwich Road and two men came in yesterday afternoon, while one distracted me, the other pinched my bag from behind the counter (not a clever place to leave it I realise). The men used my card at an off-licence shortly afterwards before I reported my card stolen. Both were white, middle aged, one was tall with a shaven head, few teeth and slightly stooped, heavily built with a beer belly wearing a bright green tee shirt. The other man was thinner, short brown hair, unshaven and wearing a pale shirt. I think they may of handed my card onto a third person to use in the shop. Many thanks!
  3. Hi Has anyone had sound proofing installed on a party wall? Did it work? Would you be able to recommend a company or products if it was something you did yourself. Thanks for any suggestions! Cheers
  4. Hi just seen this thread, do you 'pet-sit' guinea pigs as well or could you recommend someone? cheers Kate
  5. Hello I just wondered if anyone has used a bridging loan to buy a property while waiting for their house to sell. We are selling a house, but our buyers pulled out near to completion. I am keen not to lose the house we were buying and wondered if a bridging loan might be the solution. Can anyone recommend any bridging loan companies or perhaps a financial adviser or even any other ways of securing the house we want to buy? (If that's possible!) Thanks for any advice you can give. Cheers Kate
  6. Hello I wondered if anyone could recommend a dog trainer or training in the Peckham area. I am trying to help my neighbours who have two bull Mastiffs and a bouncy Jack Russell and are causing a problem with barking (for me and other neighbours and the owners too!) I'm sure there must be a way of training them not to bark,it isn't constant but is loud and can be fairly regular. Also barking in the middle of night is a difficulty, as it might only be a short series of barks, but because of the loudness tends to wake people up. It would be great to offer my neighbours some ideas or solutions, so any advice welcome and an idea of cost of working with a trainer (or if there are any voluntary/free help available - you never know). Thanks so much for any feedback. Kate
  7. Thanks for the information about the shop at Deptford, I found information about one by Googling(!) so will follow up with your recommendation. Cheers Kate
  8. Hello Can anyone recommend where I might be able to get my sewing machine serviced (preferably around SE15 SE22). It isn't a very expensive one and rather basic, but there is still life left in it yet! Many thanks for any suggestions. Kate
  9. Hi St John's and St Clement's primary school are organising a pop-up Christmas craft emporium within the school Christmas fair and we still have about four tables left for any craft people keen to sell their work. We have other makers selling jewellery, Christmas decorations, accessories made from recycled vintage materials, knitted toys and Christmas cakes covered, so perhaps other mediums might do well, ceramics, wood, print making etc, but open to any crafts/makers with great gift ideas(!). I would say that we are trying to keep prices reasonable so suggesting pricing should be between ?1-?25 if possible. The fair is on the 14th of December between 12-4pm and a table would be ?15. As it is part of the school fair it is always extremely well attended! Do email if interested in taking part. Many thanks Kate
  10. Hi Joyce Do you have a website, blog or a few images I could take a look at of your work? Would be interesting to see the products. If you're still interested I can send through a booking form. Cheers Kate
  11. Hi Rosie The 17th is the only day that the Scout's Hut is free as the earlier weekends are booked unfortunately. But felt the lateness of it might work as people often want to buy presents closer to Christmas. But hope we can tempt you along if I can get enough makers! Kate
  12. Hello I am thinking of hiring the Scout's Hut on Bellenden Road for a Christmas shopping event, on the 17th of December, suggested hours of between 11am-5pm. I wanted to find out if there would be a large enough interest from local makers or producers to take a table, for which I would charge ?25. In particular looking for a wide range of quality textiles, jewellery, ceramics, papier mache, toys, preserves perhaps, basically anything produced by professional makers who have a range of items geared towards presents, stock-fillers etc. I would provide you with a table and do all the publicity, but I feel this area is often lacking in Christmas events and it has great customer potential. Please do give me any feedback and would love to hear from anyone who is interested. I am hoping to fill about 20 tables. If I can get enough takers I can get the publicity ball rolling and really make it a fun event! Many thanks Kate
  13. cat has been re united with it's owner, thanks to all who helped
  14. Hi I have already been contacted by Joanna (Ernie & Kopta - many thanks!) and wasn't able to make your last meeting, but would love to attend the next one if possible, so do you have a date for that yet? Many thanks Kate
