If it's not bolted down it gets stolen, terrible. Some people have no respect for others property.
Hope you reported it to the Police and got a crime reference number, what did they say?

Try pavement, this is London, not the US.
The Mayor increased his proportion of council tax in 2025/26 to pay for "more" haha PC's but my understanding is they were cut not increased. A rouse by the Mayor to take more and give nothing in return.
Troubling and far too common here.
Just be careful where you get it out

So as of today the hole has been filled in and re - tarmaced, hopefully the temporary traffic signals will be removed soooooooooooooooooon.

Is it possible that residents on Kinsale Rd and adjoining roads are becoming tired of the rat running since these "major" gas works commenced?
-
Looks as though the works at the former Kings arms, Peckham Rye/East Dulwich Road are coming to a conclusion, with the road being filled in, concrete and tarmac to be laid. Hopefully by the weekend I think it may all be back to normal, Theirs hoping.

It was a double fronted pub

I remember both, many, many years ago.
And the Kings Arms was at the junction of East Dulwich Road and Peckham Rye, it was huge and was converted to flats. Oh those were the days.

Yes the bus stop at what was The Kings Arms I believe remains closed,
However the stops at the Heaton Arms (no youngster here) is open.
Easiest way is a 63 or 363 to Peckham Hill street and change for the 78 which takes you directly to the front door or as good as.

I see more dog mess on the streets round here than anything produced by foxes.
Nope, that's not the dogs fault, rather the owner who can't be bothered to train or clear up after their pet dog

Foxes aren't classified as "vermin" in the UK. They're wild animals protected under the Animal Welfare Act & the Wildlife & Countryside Act . & Yes, they do play a vital role in controlling rodent population.
The more you double down on insults & misinformation, the more you discredit your own argument. It's possible to be fed up & still informed. Take the information provided to you & do something about it.
BTW culling doesn't even work.Don't need teaching.
No hostility here, just responding to people who see no wrong in these pests

FHS, not complaining, explaining why I think foxes are a pest.
We appear to disagree on lots of things, and we're poles apart.

I expressed my experience, if you don't like it, well that's your choice.
They crap on the lawn, it has to be cleared up otherwise blue bottles come on it and spread germs. It's disgusting.
-
I did read the comments above
It's not moaning, it's stating facts.
Tell you what, you can come and clear up the near daily fox crap and see how you like dealing with it, no didn't think that would appeal to you.
Do they control rodents?
Foxes are vermin.
It's an emotive topic for some, I realise that, however the facts are foxes are a pest.

When I have to clear the crap up on the lawn, its disgusting, so yes they are a damn nuisance and pest.
Idiotic people feed them because they feel sorry for them. They can come and clear up the fox crap and see why they are bests. They need culling.
You probably enjoy seeing them, I don't enjoy clearing up their mess, the digging of holes in flower beds, the ripping apart of a tree stump, that's why I see them as a pest and nuisance.

So everything postal wise is likely to take longer, pay more = get less.
This is the beginning of the slow and gradual death of Royal Mail.

Please don't call them "pests".
They are animals who have as much right to be here as we do.
Which doesn't mean we can't use humane ways to keep them off our crops, like fruit cages and netting.
What else do you call them. They crap everywhere it is unpleasant clearing up after them, so I do call them a pest

Well according to tfL no bus services are affected so is it realistically true?

Is that a purposeful wind up, because it's mighty funny.

You made a good point earlier about Thatcher being dead, its the fall back that others use of Oh lets blame Thatcher, that becomes tediously boring, hence yawn

yawn, not helpful moaning repeatedly about spilt milk

Can you post this on the TW twitter page, the more people who do, the better chance of it being repaired.

Interesting stats on cycle red light jumpers
in Roads & Transport
Posted
This morning, Forest Hill Road turning left into Woodvale. Cyclist at speed went straight through a red light and continued to take the corner at speed and in the process nearly had a pedestrian.
So what happens to the cyclist if they ride into and hit a pedestrian?
Is the cyclist liable?
As cyclists do not have insurance for riding bicycles, who does the pedestrian claim from?
What action would the Police take? If they even bother to attend such an incident?
Why would a cyclist take a blind corner at speed?
