  1. Great stuff, count me in - I'm happy to help out.
  2. Hi, I've looked at my company handbook and it states that the Company has 28 days in which to accept your application or to arrange a meeting with the employee. The employee has the right to be accompanied etc Within 14 days of the meeting the Company will respond in writing or either agreeing to the proposed new work pattern and it's start date or confirming any compromise agreement discussed or explaining precise terms why the application may get rejected. You then have 14 days for the right to appeal which is done in writing. Following the appeal the Company has 14 days in which to provide a decision. Now this is what my company handbook states and doesn't necessarily mean it's what your company follows but maybe useful as a guide :) Hope this help Thanks
  3. Thank you Fuschia (and everyone else) I do now feel reassured that you do need to just trust your instincts rather than expect to know it all. I'm sure I'll end up selling lots of items soon or watch out for my balding 6 footer on a mission to mothercare :)
  4. thanks so much for the reassurance and advise everyone - much appreciated. Defo agree on the clothing from Tesco's and Sainsbury. I've been told they are cheap and wash up really well.
  5. ahh thanks Moos - I forgot about the waterprrof sheeting - I'll add it to the list :)
  6. I have some free samples of Advent body cream if you would like them. PM me your address and I'll post/or pop them through to you :)
  7. Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read this and apologies if this has been raised before but I'm getting into a bit of a pickle and a few thick moments which must be the baby brain when it comes to what bedding and baby suits I need for my first born due in June. I have a moses basket with a matress protector which I will cover with a fitted sheet. I plan to swaddle my baby. Weather and room temperature depending do I need to cover him with a 'cellular' blanket as well? I take it the swaddle will act as a sheet? Would I ever need to cover him with another sheet? If he doesn't take to swaddling do I cover him with a cotton sheet and 'cellular' blanket? How many sheets and blankets? How many fitted sheets for the matress and cover sheets will I actually need to start off with? I know this may be pretty basic to most of you so sorry if this come across really thick ;) Okay, so that's the bedding but what do I dress him in at night time if I swaddle him? I've bought short sleeve body suits, long sleeve body suits and full body suits...somewhat prepared but not sure what to dress him in.....sorry. Lots of questions but I hope someone can point me in the right direction with quantities of what I'll need. Thanks for reading.
  8. I agree with Marmora Man........your also a stone throw away from Brenchly Gardens and One Tree Hill and walking distance to Pekham Rye Park. The three roads mentioned are also in the catchment are for Fairlawn Primary School. There is also the Harris Boys Academy opening in September. The Harris Girls school isn't far either and you can use their sports facilities.
  9. I just want to say thanks to the dog owner that left a big trail of dog poo on FH road last night right next to the bus stop that my partner trod on! These people have no respect for their community and should be fined! I find it completely disgusting that they allow their dogs to do this.
  10. I was lucky to be at home to move my car. Poor guy next door works nights and got his car taken away. They knocked on the flat doors but he lives in the basement flat and didn't knock - I got there just in time to warn him. I actually spoke to two of the men and they blatantly said that no notification was sent out of the revised works, nor was there any signs on the road of planned works to move our cars. So they admit this has been poorly planned. Another guy was effin and blining and his choice of words were along the lines of no one having a scooby of what's going on. Not impressed with their actions - I belive the letter of the original works has a feedback form attached. I'll be telling them what I think.
  11. ha ha - it was quite exicting but wasn't how i got up the duff lol. I could explain but I'll just end up sounding like a tart if not already he he anyway back to tube rage and not sex rage :)
  12. my arm aches when holding the bar, would that constitute excersize......as for sex in a carriage, well i was naughty once...i know it's bad, not suggesting doing it, ah crap it's all coming out now!
  13. Hiya, I became like this momentarily purely because i was peeved off with commuters getting on the train even though I was there first, then there was elbow room barging, eveil eyes amongst girls, huffing and puffing, stinky smokers ah the list was endless - i hated everyone on 'my train' ha ha - I dont know what got into me too but i did have a reality check and thought 'just be nice' and rise aboveit....about a week jeez!. It really did get my goat and does still but i dont think being physical is gonna help however light the force - if that makes any sence. I hope you feel better, i'm sure you will - eat chocolate, have sex, excersize and get your frustrations out :) Bear in mind pregnant people out there (including me) so be careful who you may barge....even though you can't see the bump...
