Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/ In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.

Lost kitten - Barry Road - now found

Hi, Have you tried reaching out to breed-specific rescue groups or shelters? Sadly, Cavapoos are one of the most exploited breeds in the UK due to their popularity, so due diligence is crucial. Cavapoos do occasionally pop up for adoption, especially puppies. TWB x

Does any one own this tabby tom cat ?

You keep insisting that you're "just stating facts", but so far, most of what you've shared isn't fact - it's just your personal opinion, framed with hostility. Foxes aren't classified as "vermin" in the UK. They're wild animals protected under the Animal Welfare Act & the Wildlife & Countryside Act . & Yes, they do play a vital role in controlling rodent population. The more you double down on insults & misinformation, the more you discredit your own argument. It's possible to be fed up & still informed. Take the information provided to you & do something about it. BTW culling doesn't even work.
-
I understand that dealing with mess in your garden is frustrating, but calling for culling & branding those who care as "idiotic" isn't just unhelpful, it's dangerously reductive. Urban foxes exist because we've steadily removed their natural habitat. They adapt, survive & yes sometimes that means scavenging in places we'd rather they didn't. But labeling them a "pest" overlooks the bigger picture, which is that they are part of our urban ecosystem & play a vital role in controlling rodent population. As someone above so accurately pointed out, dogs leave more waste on footpaths. A fox is a canine, just like dogs. So are you calling for the culling of pets too?
-
Respectfully, the Fox Angels Foundation need all the volunteers they have to tend to emergency call-outs, & should not be used as a fox deterrent service unless the fox is in danger. Forward all fox deterrent concerns to Fox-A-Gon so not to overwhelm these rescues.
-
As wonderful as The Fox Project is, contacting them should be limited to emergency cases only. Specially at the moment, as they need all the help they can get to support foxes sustaining life-threatening injuries. Contact Fox-A-Gon for non-lethal fox control: https://fox-a-gon.co.uk/

Missing - brown cat Landcroft Rd/Silvester Rd/Whately Rd
TWB Cat Sitter replied to Rachael's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
I'm not sure why but this file has caused my laptop to crash multiple times, even after reset (& I have a very good laptop), so just a little warning for viewers. Perhaps try uploading an image, as I'm still unable to view this. My team & I carry scanners, so if your cat is microchipped, we will do our best to reunite him with you. -

Where have the swifts gone ?
TWB Cat Sitter replied to dimples's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The swifts & bats are alive & well around Upland Road. A beautiful sight & sound in the evenings. Just be sure to leave plenty of water out for them, as they are at high risk of dehydration & struggle to take flight at ground level. -

2 sister cats Missing. BOTH BACK
TWB Cat Sitter replied to Delainie's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
It sounds like both cats have chosen to flee & seek temporary refuge rather than risk another confrontation with this dominant cat. Find out whether or not the cat has an owner & if he is neutered. If the cat is fixed, unchipped & no owner comes forward to claim him, you can contact Celia Hammond, Cats Protection or Stray Cat Club to arrange a TNR. This would remove the current threat & give these cats an opportunity to return home safely if they are close by. Our team carry scanners as part of a voluntary initiative to help reunite missing cats with their owners. We'll be keeping a look out for Gladys & Doris on our daily travels. I hope your friend is reunited with them soon. -
Does anyone know where this cat lives ?
TWB Cat Sitter replied to Jld's topic in Lost, Found or Stolen
Good Evening Jld, If you haven't already, please try reposting this to your street's Whatsapp group & Facebook's community groups. I would offer to pop round & scan for a microchip as I'm very close by, but as you say, this cat is not easy to get close to & feeding to coax them any closer would be risky given the symptoms you've described. Unfortunately, our team do not recognise this cat. -
Hi Emmie, Cats are very territorial, so please just be aware that they don't like being taken out of their home environment, & it could lead to behaviourial issues further down the line. Please do consider using a trusted & reliable cat sitting company. We are always happy to help https://www.thewinglessbird.com/ [email protected]

I'm so sorry to hear Rexy has gone missing. Our team carry scanners & will be keeping an eye out for him on our daily travels. In the meantime, Dox can print & deliver free posters to your door https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ . Best times to call for Rexy will be dusk & dawn when felines are generally at their most active & there will be less city noise that could send him into hiding.

MISSING CAT IN SE15 bordering SE22 We were devastated to hear that one of our clientโs cats has been missing & hasnโt come home for over 24 hours! This is out of character for a cat like Olive. She is spayed, microchipped & has a loving family home where she is pampered. She doesnโt roam the streets, as she is not allowed out the front door. She is very friendly & may be wandering through your back gardens. Please contact us if you have any sightings or information on where she could be. DM us on FB or IG or email [email protected] Please share if you live in the immediate area. Thank you ๐๐ป๐ https://www.thewinglessbird.com/contact
