  1. Left about 18 months ago. Thread about it here. https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/351059-how-do-you-contact-glazer-delmar-solicitors/#comment-1679636
  2. I think the accusation derives from the Greens mobilising the Muslim vote, hence engaging in sectarian politics. But happy to be corrected
  3. So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
  4. I disagree with the use of the word "sectarianism" in this context and Starmer is a total a*se to have introduced it. In my mind, sectarianism conjures up the hatred and vicious violence of The Troubles in Northern Ireland. The divide between the Greens and Reform are a long way from that and is more reminiscent of a time when the two main parties actually stood for something and voting was more a matter of following one's political beliefs. Nobody called that sectarianism.
  5. Not been the same since their dear founder died
  6. I think there's a lot in what you say. Although bi election results aren't usually indicative of GE results, I was horrified to see Reform support was so high in what had previously been a Labour stronghold, Labour and Conservative results reflecting the tired old parties they are. It isn't our generation (sorry @Sue if I'm being presumptuous!) that will decide the outcome of elections but those in their 20s, 30s, 40s ... if they can be bothered to vote. The Greens and Reform now present a real choice instead of two centrist main parties of the last 30 years which has put people off voting. Perhaps locally I will continue to vote Labour, i really couldn't bear for the LibDems to return and we have to consider the demographic of the whole of Southwark. But come the GE I will probably vote Green.
  7. Lovely daffodils on Dog Kennel Hill and random but still lovely crocuses on Goose Green.
  8. Andrew whatshisname's lawyer might find it useful as his client has just been arrested "over the alleged sharing of confidential material". The arrest of Mandelson to follow?
  9. I'm sorry to learn that though Liam does seems well qualified. Hopefully with McAsh gone, Southwark Labour will turn to Charlie to fill the gap.
  10. I'm tempted to ask if the dog ate your homework as well 😂 Also, regular reminder , that Post Office and Royal Mail are separate companies
  11. Remember though that McAsh has not been the only Labour councillor. Charlie Smith keeps a lower profile but is committed to the local community, I doubt he has any plans to become an MP. I contacted him about a very local problem, he was at my door three hours later and problem resolved by the end of the week.
  12. Thanks for the reminder
  13. Welcome to the year of the Fire Horse
  14. For Reform though read any individual/party who without knowing full details of a council's obligations, or how all the money has been spent are confident they can reduce expenditure by cutting 'waste'.
