Hello Neighbours, I would like to bring your attention to a local news story, "Jaws not Jesus". The site has been bought (subject to contract) by KICC an evangelical church that has been moved on from the London olympic site and has received funding from the LDA. An independent cinema group are also interested in the site. The building on Church Road was originally a cinema up until the late 1960s and still retains it's art deco interior. Many Crystal Palace residents and those from the surrounding areas are concerned that the conversion of this site would not benefit the community as much as a cinema would. Other possible cinema sites in the area are currently being investigated. After speaking with friends from ED, they have all thought that an independent cinema in CP would be great and they would definitely become a patron.
