WordPlay Audio Production Training - learn how to create, edit & promote your own podcast series!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

As well as running radio drama making workshops, we are now offering full day podcast training courses at our home studio in East Dulwich for people wanting to delve into the world of radio, either to aid or develop their professional practice or just for pure audio fun!

Prior to the training, we give you advice and suggestions on the recording equipment you might need for your podcasting journey and any other extras that people often forget about.

During the day we will cover studio training and set up, planning and preparing for podcasting, and all post production basic editing. For an extra fee, we also cover non-audio aspects of podcasting - artwork, video promotion, knowing which platforms to use, and trails. After the training, you will take home several handouts of step-to-step guides of how to record face-to-face and phone interviews, and also basic editing steps.

If you'd like to talk to us further about creating your own podcast series, please do get in touch - either on here or email [email protected]

We are currently training a print journalist who wants to transfer her interviewing skills into audio, a comedian who needs support editing her masterpieces for radio & a guitarist who doesn't want to get his hands dirty (We can also edit your podcasts for you at a low cost if you already have an existing podcast.

If you have the ideas, we'll show you how to put them into audio practice!

We do also offer courses for children who are eager to host and produce their own talk radio shows which are also run in our home-studio. This concludes with a fabulous live broadcasting radio party, so if your children are budding talk radio show hosts, please do talk to us!

We're very much looking forward to hearing from you.

All the best,

Zoe & Leon

    • There's quite a difference between going for a run around the footpaths and trying to sit quietly for an afternoon in a wide, grassy area and enjoying the peace & nature. The other two grassy areas in the park are used for sports, and both had barriered trackway running through them. The Parkrun had to be cancelled for at least three weeks, iirc. I'm concerned by your continued reference to "the rye" - the event is held in the park, not on the rye (common). There is a big difference, despite the organisers and council artificially amalgamating the whole area when trying to convince everyone that it's only a small area that is closed off. The railings & gates enclosing the park are a big clue...
    • So have you cancelled your contract with InPost / Yodel now? If so, that's probably caused hundreds of parcels to be stuck in limbo, as they've said to me before that they can't redirect them to a different store. I have a parcel that was refused by you twice, the last time on 5/12, and since then there's been no updates, despite me calling them 3 times. They just say it's being investigated, but if they now can't physically deliver to you then that is obviously the issue. So much for shopping for Christmas presents early, looks like I'll never get them now.
    • I thought I noticed the shop being redecorated the other day when I passed. Also the old Romeo Jones had some works going on, I think
    • Leon came to sort out a lighting issue for us last week.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave clear, detailed advice about how to avoid in future.  Would highly recommend him.
