Children of East Dulwich ? Have Your Own Say? On the Radio!

WordPlay are running 6 week courses for children & young people to learn the ins and outs of producing and presenting their very own radio show, complete with a broadcasting party putting their new found-skills to practice.

This course teaches pairs the skills and techniques required to produce and present your own talk radio show. Over the six weeks you will work in collaboration helping your partner to plan and produce their show, with your partner in turn simultaneously helping you plan and produce the show that you will be presenting.

Throughout this practical course you will take away valuable radio skills that will give you the know how and confidence to independently produce and present your own professional radio and podcast content in the future. Over the course you will plan your show, conduct an interview, script write, get to know the studio, learn the basics of audio editing pre-recorded content, brand & promote the show and finally present a live edition of your programme.

The course takes place in our home radio/podcast studio and on one of the weeks we visit a working professional radio studio.

We can also tailor our sessions for specific training requirements, so it's definitely worth getting in touch with us if you have any questions.

If this sounds like something you would like your kids to get involved in, please email us (Zoe & Leon) on [email protected]

Happy Listening!

    • You might want to try the Peckham Facebook community group. I am located in East Dulwich & have 2 well-used scratchers: A large single post (ideal for an adult cat) & a small cat tree with 2 short posts (ideal for kittens) While the wear & tear is nowhere near as bad as the one shown in the link below, ideally the sisal should be replaced to get the best use out of it (& neutralise the scent of another cat) hence why I haven't donated these to a shelter. You may find this link helpful. https://thegreenmadhouse.com/diy/how-to-repair-your-cat-scratcher But you can just get a brand new one between £10-£30 on Amazon that'll last much longer. It all depends on what type of scratcher you're looking for; material, size, vertical or horizontal. You'll little lion will let you know by whether they're currently scratching down or up, like a mat or armchair for example. More than happy to send location & leave in front garden for pickup.
    • Would happily take it off your hands! Preferably in Peckham. Thanks 🙏🏻
    • I understand that, but I can't really grasp how it works in practice, but never mind 😵‍💫
    • It's local independent shops supporting one another.
