Our councillor James B - Not ED specific really - (failed to respond to my emails)

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I wholeheartedly disagree with the title of this thread.

I wrote to James regarding a proposed sale of the Dulwich Hamlet Football ground, a matter that deeply troubled me.

James responded very quickly but also he was very detailed in his answer and re-assured my concerns.

I think hes a great councillor

Yeah we had a visit from our local councillor...problem was that they were from the wrong party....the LABOUR PARTY!

Mr Barber, I wish you had called round our house. I would have like to shake your hand and thank you.

Theres nowt wrong with being cheerful.

Keep up the good work Mr B!!!

Mr B sent me an update email three weeks after my first - I had almost forgotten about it but he hadn't and took the time to reply. I agree with everyone's positive comments and support for him and think he is doing a fantastic job.

Thank you Mr B.....

James Barber sorted out our recycling issue the day I moaned about it on here. He's also in the process of sorting out another unrelated issue we've got. Any emails sent have been responded to the same day.

No complaints from me. Thanks, James. Keep up the good work.

So who do we think iamhere was? From the odd syntax and vocabulary I suspect a supporter of a certain far right organisation. And I don't mean the Tories . By the way I am no lib dem supporter but more power to Barber.

but what is this i hear now that James Barber is up for expanding the pavements of LL ( like walworth rd) and putting a zebra crossing in outside the Co-op/Somerfield rather than the ED Grove section??? How things change.

    • Can any super techy people advise on this:  I have connected a soundbar to the TV with an HDMI cable into the HDMI ARC socket.  The soundbar works with the TV but when I switch to Netflix or other media that come through a virgin box, the sound disappears completely.  I can then only get the sound back on the TV by unplugging the soundbar from the TV. The virgin box only has one HDMI socket which is used to connect to the TV so can't connect the soundbar to the virgin box by cable. Any ideas on how to make this work or recommendations for a TV wizard to contact? Thanks.
    • Thank you all SO much for the suggestions.  I didn't expect such a helpful and well considered response. Our plans changed and in the end I didn't try any of them but I certainly will in the future.  You don't know how grateful I am for the help.. The strain and effort involved in dining out because of the background noise really puts me off . I do have hearing aids but they aren't a great help. And in fact magnify many of them associated sounds in eating establishments.
    • Jafar lives up to his 5/5 reviews.  A great job well well done. Dismantled the boiler replaced the part and everything put back together and working.  I can only agree with all his excellent reviews.
    • I know I shouldn't bite, but .... Would you like to give some  specific examples of exactly why you consider this orange faced  narcissist with the apparent  mental capacity of a gnat (that's probably being unfair to gnats) and a clearly rapidly declining memory  the "best US president of the last 50 years"?
