Hi All,

I went along to the babyshow on Saturday and ordered the Mothercare Spin Pushchair! Which I love and have liked since before my trip to the babyshow, so as I was being offered 10% off the package - I went for it!

I just wondered if anybody has one and if they have any good/bad feedback?

Thanks,

Jade

Yay! Congratulations on both baby and pram!

I reviewed the Spin for a website and I love it. The only real drawback I had was the price, but then again I am really tight when it comes to buying baby things.

It's easy to drive, easy to go from parent to front facing and light. The car seat is really easy to use, which is important when a small person is screeching and you need to strap her in quickly.

I find it light and easy to get on and off the bus, and the shopping basket's big.

And it's all space age and gorgeous.

The only down sides are that you have to remove the carry cot to fold it, which may not suit everyone. And when you convert it so baby can sit up it feels like there's not much seat room. Or maybe that's just my excuse to buy a new stroller...

You don't see many of them around yet, but they're ace.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
