  1. As a contrast, my husband called in at 8am this morning with a sty which we expected had turned in to a pretty nasty eye infection - he was offered an appointment at 2pm today, was given some strong antibiotics and is off to the eye hospital tomorrow for another check up. Pretty good service we think. The NHS is struggling because so many people go to the doctors when they could go to the chemist/go to the hospital when they could go to the doctors etc. I wouldn't say it's in meltdown, but what you have experienced isn't good enough, I agree.
  2. I am due my second at the end of January, my first is 4. Would love to meet up, but also work full time.
  3. I wouldn't mind the luxury of baby no 2, but it seems my body has other ideas and my first child is 4 in the Summer. I guess whatever is meant to be is meant to be. While I don't think this thread means any harm and I appreciate it is a light hearted chat over an open forum it makes a hard read for people dreaming for just their first or second baby to come along.
  4. We went for Mother's Day as everywhere else was booked and we had left it late.... everywhere else was booked and this wasnt with good reason! It was absolutely awful. We waited what seemed like forever, they kept running backward and forward to the shop for ingredients and then when finally serving us our food said they had run out of yorkshire puddings.... Food was grim, lamb was very very fatty, all luke warm. Just generally really bad service and food. They also asked us for matches as the oven had gone out and they couldn't fire it up again. It felt like an episode of Fawlty Towers!! The pie was however, pretty good. That said, they are pieminster pies and all they had to do was heat it up, and even that was only luke warm too.

  6. This has now been removed, so has been let or is no longer being put up for let.. They have tried to sell and let in the past 12 months. It is a rather limited spot unless you are have enough capital to gut the place.
  7. It is for sale. The curry house next door does not own it. It has the same owner (Paul I believe) since the Trivoli days. He went into a partnership with Adam and became joint owners of Boho. Never made enough money.
  8. Ratty - I am not sure if that was a joke?! But it's definitely looking like a reality for us!
  9. adsyb99 - have yours come yet? I am still waiting for mine so they will have to be very impressive when they come for me to use again!
  10. joom - on your recommendation I have just ordered some photos via print studio, i cannot beleive how quick it was to use, how long do they normally take to ship do you know? thanks
  11. We struggled getting the day off! (which is of course only a morning!)They gave it but it wasnt authorised.
  12. Personally I think only you know your child. I know my child is ready it doesn't really matter what some statistics say, not every child born in summer doesn't go on to succeed, you just have to do what feels right for you. I knew I could defer for a year and stay on at nursery if we wanted to, just don't see it making any difference in the whole scheme of things (for my child). My friends boy on the other hand just wouldn't cope so it is very much a personal choice based on a your child alone.
