I'm with Otta.

This Tory government are awful, truly awful. Even on the economy they have achieved nothing. The economy has been stangant since the coalition took power, stagnant from the position it was in when Labour left office.

But there a good chance the Tory party will have both a new leader and chancellor long before the next election (and I don't see Osborne being that new leader).

I also agree that Corbyn is a bit dithery, but John McDonnell definitely has a better understanding of the importance of investment to economic growth than Osborne, by a mile and I think would do a far better job as chancellor.

I also think that being a rabble rouser, is very different to being in office. Osborne use to snort coke and hang out with prostitutes. Ian Duncan Smith lied about pretty much everything on his CV etc etc. It would be very easy to delve into most people's pasts and find reasons to discredit their abilities to be in office.

It makes no sense to think that an MP like Corbyn, who claimed just ?7.93 in MPs expenses each year on average, would deliberately try to con the tax man. And in any case, it just doesn't compare for me to someone who launders millions through offshore havens to knowingly avoid tax. Corbyn was never going to get away with it was he? So why would he deliberately do it?

I'm reminded of when Nigel Lawson, then Chancellor of the Exchequer, had his credit card refused in a branch of Threshers during the early '90s.

He'd forgotten to pay his most recent statement.

Everyone can be late or be out by a hundred pounds or so, and I would put Corbyn in that camp.

Pushing thousands of pounds around the houses via Panama etc. is deliberate obsfucation.

Based on what he published, that's true. But considering he allegedly missed three other income streams off his tax form, is that still the case?

Thanks Loz, It seems like a mistake thats been

Blown out of proportion to divert attention from a

bunch of bastrds who believe they've got every

right to create misery, in daily life as well as

In the workplace.

As for voting them in, yeah we can hold a forum

Sweepie on how many will die at there hands in

The first year. 2-3 yrs for prizes, whilst

Waiting on the figures from them.

God this is getting desparate. There is no real dirt on either of them and if anything the issue and disclosure has increased the profile and spurred the government into action. My word the Telegraph having a go at a Labour leader> You'll have the Guardian having a go at the tories next....

I don't even know why I am bothered to read the thread or post a reply.

    • Also, as discussed on another thread, that particular  assailant was possibly (we don't know)  mentally ill. Whereas I'm guessing most crimes locally are   committed for money, (ie things that can be sold), food (if someone is really desperate, or to sell) or just pure mischief (like the recent goings on on Peckham Rye). I'm a 76 year old woman, and I feel safe on the streets, and I frequently go to Central London. If you seriously don't feel safe living here, why on earth don't you go and live somewhere else?! It's absolute nonsense to say London is lawless, and it's absolute nonsense to say the police stand by and do nothing. There will always be crime. It used to be cutpurses and highwaymen. And organised gangs of thieves. And people like Jack the Ripper.
    • No it is not, it is a fact whether you like it or not. Do you feel safe on the streets, because I don't, do you go too central London, I don't as I don't feel safe. No one knows if someone is i) carrying a weapon or a knife and ii) you don't know what will trigger them to use it. So feel free to live in your bubble, but the reality is London is lawless and the police stand by and do nothing.
    • Leon responded quickly to my online enquiry and to follow-up texts when arranging a date for the work. He replaced a faulty switch for my outdoor sensor light. I expected it would be difficult to find an electrician willing to take on such a small job. So I was really pleased to find Leon and would definitely recommend him.
    • I would not use anyone else, he now does my son and daughters boiler services and my own. He recently replaced a very old boiler and it all went well with a year guarantee.  Such a lovely person to deal with too. Very good value for money!  I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
