Hi all, my girlfriend got followed on her walk to East Dulwich station this morning. Anyone else had the same? She was walking down Melbourne Grove towards the station at about 9am, when a man crossed over towards her. She then switched across the road four times, and he did the same.

I was also followed this morning - it sounds like it was the same guy. He followed me for at least 15 mins from 8:30am down Underhill Road. He crossed when I crossed, stopped when I stopped etc.

I had originally intended to walk down Barry Road towards Peckham Rye, but this guy was really freaking me out, so instead I continued straight on down Whately Road and walked in to the Police Station. This was at about 8:45am. When I explained what happened, a police officer went straight outside to have look around but couldn't see him anywhere.

I reported the incident and gave a description to the Police

The top of Melbourne Grove is right opposite ED Police Station, so it sounds like that is where he went next.

Hi Mungo, ekyv.

I'm glad to hear you both managed to get away safely. This is extremely frightening to hear as guy is obviously persistant & doesn't seem to mind whether he gets caught out in broad daylight!

I hope nobody else gets to experience this.

Stay safe.

    • What would be the point of that?  It may work in a  USA style mall where there’s maybe a single point of entry and armed security people.  But here financially, it wouldn’t work.
    • I think there's a similar square-type thing around Queens Road Peckham, which has stayed in pretty good nick. It was certainly a vast improvement.  Having said that, it would be terribly sad if small businesses suffer in the process. I love the fruit 'n' veg stalls & shops on Rye Lane, and the atmosphere in general atmosphere and very much hope that a new station square and the stalls aren't mutually exclusive.
    • Shoplifting is such epidemic now that it justifies the introduction of facial recognition facilities at the entrance to retail premises. With immediate access to  a database of all known shoplifters, such a facility could sound an immediate alert to management - provided of course that removal of face masks was a condition of entry.
    • Hello,  Myself and my partner are looking to welcome an F1 Cavapoo into our home in the next few months. We are struggling to find breeders that we trust that is in driving distance. We wondered if anyone has any recommendations for reputable licensed cavapoo breeders or can put us in touch with anyone? We are happy to drive up to 4 hours from London for the right one.  Many thanks
