Depends whether it's the ?90 f1.8 one or the ?1,100 f1.2 one!

There's a place in Kennington, opposite the big Tesco that does professional repairs.

They will probably tell you it's not worth it though, in which case you should shift it on eBay as spares or repair.

The place poster kford is talking about is Fixation http://www.fixationuk.com/ - they will give you a quote for repair - Canon technicians. Maybe call them with the serial number first so that they can tell you if its worth repairing ie differentiate between the F1.8 and the F1.2

I can highly recommend fixation. They repaired my Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM when the AF motor broke. I took it in and they estimated that it should be ready in around 3 days, it was ready to collect by the end of the same day. Not cheap, but it cost significantly less than replacing the lens, and I've not had any problems since.

    • Those studies are ten years old. I wonder if there is anything more recent. Also, I haven't looked at them, but from what you say,  the studies apparently asked people if THEY thought they were "racially prejudiced". For several  reasons, on the face of it that isn't likely to produce an accurate indication of the level of actual racial prejudice in that sample. Also, how was "racial prejudice" defined? And "racist attitudes"?
    • I'd say hold on to it in case you need it. There may be a time when it helps you get around more easily. You'd know if that's easily done, if you've got somewhere to park it etc
