First time I went to the Quiz night. BS. Started at 7.30. Went on till almost 11pm. Folk have got work the next morning! I was expecting it to finish around 9.30 latest. Also no food at the EDT? WTF..I was hungry and had to make a dash to Hizar half way through.

Quiz master was rubbish. Don't think it was the usual guy 'James'. However his replacement was rubbish and needs to stop making sh** jokes and constantly repeating the questions with a lame ass joke inbetween. I felt like walking out, which a lot of people did at 10pm. Wasn't enjoyable, became a bore. Shame really as me and my friends were looking forward to it.

Overall apart from the beer and company, my quiz night experience was bs -0/10.

Oh...

Shut up I love quiz nites , though I am absolutely "maller" at them

The best are always the ones where the drunk guy (who also has an IQ of 165) props up the bar

"Winston Churchill May 1942" or whatever the answer is in a shouty "6 pints" whisper

The egg heads who want to win get the right hump too

For further antagonism I like to call the team "And in first place with 300 points"

just to add to the evening of fun

Ahhh... Yes indeede

I just know you'd love to be my friend....

    • Adding my recommendation for Niko too. Found his number on here and he came out at short notice on a busy weeknight to help us with a kitchen sink issue that had flooded our kitchen that day. Really helpful, responsive and went out of his way to fit us in and help us out. Very reasonably priced too - would thoroughly recommend!
    • Looks like it! Though according to the OP, they are "golden, hand-crimped parcels  packed with flavour" 😀 I don't understand. Admittedly my brain is functioning at a very low level at the moment. Does that mean various local shops get together and agree to offer a discount to anyone who shows them a receipt from one of the other ones dated the same day? I can't see what's in it for either of them, unless people shop somewhere they wouldn't otherwise have done just to get the discount. Is it for vaguely  linked things, say cheese from a cheese shop, wine from another shop? Showing my age there.  And then suppose it's always the same shop which people go to second to get the discount? What's in it for the first shop? People go there in order to get the discount in the second shop?
    • Local (especially independent) businesses should do like Wheelers Oyster Bar in Whitstable and offer a discount to anyone who can show them a receipt from Chacarero dated the same day.
    • Aria was great, he managed to come the same day after what had turned out to be a pretty long day at work and fix a really bad blocked pipe that needed to be resolved as soon as practicable. He’s lovely, professional and really helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable plumber in the area. Thanks Aria!
