berbel
Hi I have a 5 years old that really wants to learn to skateboarding, but I don't have any knowledge about it.I got her a mini board but it looks to me it's too mini, she is a tall girl, and it doesn't seem to stear. Does anyone knows about which board I should get?Thank you Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104032-skateboard-for-daughter/ Share on other sites
Bellenden Belle
I can't advise on boards but I have a son of a similar age and we have just discovered House of Vans. It's in Waterloo, entirely free, and gives lessons for five year olds plus. It provides all boards and pads for the lesson. A great way to learn techniques and if you already start to go to the next stage.http://houseofvanslondon.com Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104032-skateboard-for-daughter/#findComment-991288 Share on other sites

hazelnunhead
There is quite a decent range at Decathlonhttp://www.decathlon.co.uk/yamba-cruiser-skateboard-blue-coral-id_8319140.htmlWe were there the other weekend as my daughter is interested in one - and there is enough room to have a try out of the boards! canela
it's much easier to learn on long boards rather than short ones. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104032-skateboard-for-daughter/#findComment-992085 Share on other sites
ruthief
A friend of ours runs Rubicon - they rub residential skateboarding and scooter camps (some specially for girls) and also do loads of work with schools. I think the children have to be 10, so maybe for when your little one is a bit older. They have a website http://www.camprubicon.com/girls/ and also are on Facebook if you search for Camp Rubicon...I'm sure they would be happy to give advice for getting your daughter into boarding, and what equipment would be best Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104032-skateboard-for-daughter/#findComment-992442 Share on other sites
