ClareC
My GP says after the second jabs, Health Visitor and Internet search suggest not linked to jabs at all and can go as early as you like! Seems to be some contradiction here! Any ideas anyone? My daughter is 8 weeks so first jabs this week :( would love to get her swimming as early as is safe for her! Fuschia
You don't need the jabs, I checked this out thoroughly with ds1 and actually made a complaint as though the gp and vaccs ooklet said go ahead, the hv said no and really upset me. (I guess they did get the retraining promised!) linzkg
I read through loads of info before taking my little one swimming too .. gave in .. and took him swimming before all his jabs were complete - I didn't find the research conclusive and think they're obviously airing on the side of caution obviously. Countjc
I went to the hydrotherapy pool at peckham pulse last night just for a general swim and they have jelly baby sessions. It seemed like a lovely place so I might try that one out too.
