My 11 week old breast fed baby has had green poo for the last 10 days or so. He feeds every 2 to 3 hours in the day and longer at night. Generally he's happy & doesn't have a temperature but he does have a minor cold. The health visitor says it's nothing to worry about but it just seems to be going on and on so I'm starting to worry a little. Any advice? Thanks

Usually it's a sign of having a bit too much sugary foremilk. Is he sucking more for comfort/snacking? How often do you switch sides? You could try doing all feeds within a 3h period from the one side, to maximise the amount of hindmilk.. the hindmilk is the milk you make when you feel empty, the milk that gathers in the breast between feeds gives up some of its fat to the body and ends up as the sugary thirst quenching foremilk.

As long a she is gaining weight and not too windy, it probably doesn't matter. Mucus from the cold might also be a factor...

    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
