Having recently given birth I'm looking to treat myself and book my Summer Holiday and wondered if anyone can recommend somewhere family friendly?

I'm after somewhere in Europe (2-4 hours flight time), with a kids club for a 3 year old and also suitable for a 4/5month baby (a room with a small kitchen/kitchenette would be fab). Ideally a high 4 or 5 star type hotel/accomodation in a small resort but with good restaurants in walking distance would be perfect. Any suggestions appreciated!

We often go to Italy (everywhere from the north to the south) with the children as it's close and very child friendly (2 hour flight). We use the service tuscanynow.com.

Also, Greece is a good option for resort-type places with kids clubs, swimming pools and beaches (4 hour flight). We've stayed at one called the Sani Resort in Halkidiki which had a nice spa for the adults and a lot of restaurants in the harbour within walking distance.

Haven't used babyfriendlyboltholes but their website looks lovely and easy to use.

Have a lovely holiday!

would recommend Pefkos in Rhodes. Apartments are called Pefki Island Resort. Lovely clean place, people friendly, got two resorts where you can use the facilities in each resort, 3 pools, within 5 minutes of restaurants, bars etc. We have been going for years, you book thru Thomson. have a look at their website at the photos and reviews.

Agree with above posts but am firmly committed to Eurocamp/Keycamp type holidays. We usually go to France and hire a Mobile Home and yes we fly these days ( usually with Ryanair plus car hire). Good quality campsites offer a huge range of entertainment including Kid's Clubs. France never fails to have some delightful local restaurants which are always child friendly. Admittedly I hadn't been on such a holiday with a child as young as yours but with hindsight , would have done. To have a fully functioning kitchen to me is a real Godsend.

Anyway have a lovely holiday whatever you choose.

    • Disagree. Where are the police when you need them? People want a police presence, they want to feel reassured by seeing them do what the word suggests, policing, so go catch some bad guys, arrest, charge and get the CPS to prosecute with the evidence to enable this to happen. Stabbing and shootings are so common place they no longer even get reported in the public domain. How many crimes don't get solved? Rather case closed and forgotten. The number of low to high level crimes which remain unsolved is staggering.  The criminal fraternity know this, they know they won't get caught so they just carry on.  Biggest crimes which affect most people, probably are phone and car theft, both are prolific and what do the police do, diddly squat. zilch, nothing, provide a crime reference number and the case is closed. Not good enough, not by a country mile.   Met Engage? I don't think so.

Recent data suggests a drop in violent crime. Gang violence will make a significant contribution to the numbers. You are unlikely to be attacked by a stranger
    • Unfortunately there are plenty of shops which don't care and will sell vapes, alcohol and weed to minors, I'm sure they won't care about selling them fireworks. Or the kids nick them.
    • It’s getting a bit annoying. We’ve a nervous dog who trembles when they go off. I know to expect it around Halloween and Diwali but it seems to be happening more through the year.
