Hi there,

Long shot, but....I just went down to my car this morning, and have seen that someone has hit the car and scraped it all down the drivers side, conveniently not leaving a note.

There is quite a lot of damage to the drivers side, and it will need to be an insurance job.

The car was parked in the parking bay by the second set of traffic lights on Barry Road, by the Underhill road junction, and is a red Puegeot 306.

This would have happened between 7.30pm Saturday 20 March and 8.00am Sunday 21 March

Heres hoping...

Thanks in advance

I witnessed a similar incident on Barry Road some time ago. The culprit was a No 12 bus whose driver didn't bother stopping. At least we were able to tell the owner what had happened, the time it happened etc - hopefully helped her with her insurance claim.

Hope someone is able to throw some light on this recent incident.

Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
