Help! What time can you ask neigbours to turn loud music down?

My neighbours are blasting out music in their garden - really loud obnoxious rap music. I've got work and my kids can't get to sleep! Is it too early to complain??? It is a Sunday night!!!

I am terrible and have zero tolerance for blasting music. I would go around. It is rude. But then I asked a neighbour to turn down their music at 7pm, on new years eve (!!) when I was pregnant and hormonal. We have lovely, considerate neighbours and I still cringe at my intolerance that time.

you can go round at 10pm. they can't argue at 10pm.

Depends on how loud it is. If its just playing music in their garden then I agree 9pm or 10pm. Playing music in your garden always sounds loud but its really not an unreasonable thing to do on a sunny evening.

We had this problem...on a school/ work night they should stop at 8pm if they know you have kids....they should do these noisy things on Fridays or Saturdays

Whoooah there! The warmest day of the year and people are kicking up and enjoying themselves at 7.45pm.

Doesn't sound like it happens regularly so live and let live (even though you may not share their music taste).....at least until a bit later!
