Has anyone had a problem with their telephone line?

Hello,

On tuesday, our telephone line suddenly stopped working and I'm having a terrible time trying to get Pipex to do anything about it. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem i.e. their line going down? I'm trying to establish whether it is an area problem or it's just us!

We are with BT and had problems for a couple of weeks with a crackle on the line and the broadband not working. They tried to make out it was our problem but eventually sent an engineer yesterday, we still have telephone poles with overhead wires and the one to our house was really old and rotten it had to be replaced, so may be something worth chacking out!

I'm with Be Internet - they're pretty good. Before that it was Virgin - shockingly bad!

Yes im with virgin and have no telephone and tv reception is breaking up.
